A wolf makes itself known as it calls to the stars. You turn to the source of the howl, spotting a young black and white she-wolf. By her strong physique and powerful smell, you guessed she was the Alpha of a pack. Her body language as she made her way toward you told you that she wasn't looking for a fight. One paw after another, she came closer to you, until she was a mere foxlength away. " Welcome, traveler. It is a dangerous world out there. You look unwell. I insist you stay with my pack until you feel better. " her voice was soothing. You obliged, following her toward a thick part of the woods. Soon, lithe bodies appeared from the bramble, taking their place beside their Queen as escorts. They sniffed the strange wolf cautiously. " Now, wolves, this is a friend. " the Queen spoke once more, a scolding tone in her voice. The wolves dispersed, still eyeing the stranger wearily. You are led to a clearing protected by a large and thick wall of bramble. " Follow me carefully, and mind the thorns. " the she-wolf murmured as she gracefully swept through the thin passageway. All around you wolves were busy at work, sorting herbs, sharing prey, and caring for pups. " Welcome to the grove. " the Queen nodded to you before disappearing into a cave at the foot of a boulder.
The Copac Wolves, otherwise known as the Wolves of the Trees, live in a large clearing in a forest protected by bramble. These wolves have adapted to their environment, and often have different colored coats depending on the season they were born. Tread carefully. Bears are known to roam this wood.
