Biography
The first wolf in Yliaster to reach Level 20!!! what a good lad
Born on a sunny spring day in GrΓ€nsland, 8SE.
Vindhalt's moonsign is Aries.
His name means "wind chill" in Norwegian (and/or Danish).
Vindhalt's first hunt as an apprentice was on a windy winter's day in the Taiga in 8SE, following a trail to the creek with the Kynsguard.
Officially became a Kynsguard Chaser in the summer of 9SE, taking over from veteran Kulpa Elku'ul. This event changed his disposition from sullen to confident.
Bonded to EydΓs of Varngaard in the summer of 11SE, becoming part of the Varngaard clan through her.
Lore
His own mother was his pupsitter, refusing to let anyone else to take care of him. Ulla dominated his life since infancy, drilling him to become the perfect apex predator worthy of the Kynsguard title. Her malicious, abusive treatment of little Vindhalt caused him to spend much of his puppyhood sad and lonely, forced to grow up too soon, but the day he joined the Kynsguard was the best day in his life. He grew up to become a confident, strong and handsome hunter-wolf.
After Vindhalt became firmly established as an honoured hunter of the Kynsguard, his relationship with his mother Ulla changed. Where Ulla was once abusive and demanding, she became proud and doting. Vindhalt wasn't moved. While he recognised her role in his becoming the first worker wolf to raise in ranks of Yliaster, he could not find it in himself to forgive his mother for the cruel way she treated him as a pup. He made no effort to appeal for her place among the nobility or even among the Brothers and Sisters of the Vale. Vindhalt shut her out, and privately enjoyed denying her his company and his acceptance of her. His mother, meanwhile, often wandered around Northbreak Point hoping to see her only son, feeling confusion over his treatment of her, and hope that he will one day be grateful to her.
Puppyhood Memories:
During the Chasing & Escaping lesson: Kulpa checked Vindhalt's progress through a chasing test. Vindhalt had to avoid being caught, which seemed completely impossible, but he wisely used all the tricks and feints to gain an advantage.
During the Birdwatching lesson: Vindhalt pounced on the birds after he successfully lured them to come closer. Catching them was more important than chasing when it came to birds, and it was the best reward for such a long wait.
During the Hiding lesson: Leaves? Rocks? Underbrush? Twisted tree stump? Eroded slope? Vindhalt learned to use any environment and its features to camouflage successfully.
During the Working Together lesson: With Kyllikke Ava'al overseeing the ordeal, Vindhalt had to organize, coordinate and help the group move an entire fallen log out of the den. Tiny pups lack the strength on their own, but cooperating as a team can get things done!
