Under a blood moon, Seraphina stumbled into the pack's main den-site tired, malnourished, and confused. The leader Cina'ed let her stay in the pack after proving she could adjust to the rules and dynamics of normal life. After proving herself by successfully training the pups, Cina'ed gave Seraphina a role. Scout. Her partner is named Vesta, he was assigned to be her mentor and to secretly keep a watchful eye on the newcomer. After several scouting missions, Vesta and Seraphina have become close friends. While in the pack Seraphina met Fintan, an older wolf who had been kind to her and fought to keep her in the pack since day 1. They later became mates, Fintan has already passed and Seraphina is learning to live with only one wolf who fully accepts her, Vesta.
Unfortunately Cina'ed became ill near the end of his short life, with his mate, Anala, being close in age he had a decision to make. Instead of choosing his own daughter, he chose Seraphina. In private Cina'ed told her the reason was her ability to adapt and change into pack life and has always been dependable. Of course this caused discourse with Cina'ed and his daughter and she was cast out of the pack after an assassination attempt on Seraphina. Cina'ed has since died. Seraphina took no time in choosing her 2nd in command, the only wolf that truly accepts her, Vesta.
