Deep Night, named for her coat, had a hard time when it came to leaving her pack. She was used to many wolves running around, always having a friend to play with. But as she lived as a lone wolf, she grew to love the quiet of the deep woods.
When that silence was broken by another she-wolf, Night almost chased her off. But Rushing River knew how to convince wild things to settle down, and Deep Night agreed to relearn how to be a part of a pack with the Children of the North. Sometimes she still wants that peace that comes to those on their own, so she became a scout.
As she grew older and watched new pups grow to adulthood, Deep Night no longer felt the same call to be on her own. One day she approached Rushing River, asking to become a mentor for the pack. She suggested River's own pup, Walking Cypress, to take her place.
