Lore

0 months old: Born into a tiny Deciduous Forest-based pack alongside three brothers. The pups' parents are the pack's only three members, who are all mates: Lightning, a battle-scarred female; Odd-Eyes, their Herbalist sire; and Shadow, their Scout dam. 

4 months old: The four pups have settled into a hierarchy; Comet's natural friendliness lands him at the bottom of the pecking order. 

8 months old: As adolescents, Comet's brothers grow more aggressive, squabbling and tussling often. Contrarily, he becomes more submissive to avoid conflict. 

10 months old: The biggest pup in the litter, Lunar, picks a fight with Comet out of boredom. He intentionally tears Comet's ear and inflicts a wound on his cheek before their parents intervene. While Odd-Eyes tends to Comet's wound, his mothers rebuke Lunar. When the youngster shows no remorse, he is forbidden from eating for a week. He ignores the punishment, leisurely making his way over to the prey pile. When Shadow blocks his path, he foolishly attacks her, and is swiftly defeated by both of his mothers. Lunar is banished from the pack. The incident makes Comet's other brothers relax considerably. 

1 year old: Comet's remaining littermates leave the pack to find their own territory. He stays on for a while to help his parents raise their new litter.

1 year, 10 months old: Comet begins to feel wanderlust, and once his younger siblings have gotten the basics of hunting down, he bids his family goodbye and sets off. 

1 year, 11 months old: While exploring the Grasslands, Comet falls into a large hole dug into the earth. He is unhurt, but the hole is too steep to climb out of. His terrified whimpering is heard by Dune, who comes to investigate. Taking pity on him, she finds a large branch for him to grab onto, and uses it to pull him out. Comet falls over himself trying to thank her, and offers to accompany her on her journey to the desert. 

2 years old: Comet and Dune attempt a romantic relationship, with notions of starting their own pack. However, his submissiveness and her short temper cause friction, and they soon break up. They continue to travel together out of fear of being alone. 

2 years, 2 month old: The pair becomes lost and accidentally strays into the Mountains, where Dune is injured by a falling rock. Ashen finds and brings them back to his pack. Once she is healed, the two decide to join the Ashen Pack.
