Assumed power upon the death of her father, at the age of 1 year and 10.5 months.

Even as a puppy Urðr was unusually stoic, preferring to daydream and watch the clouds make shapes in the sky over rambunctious play with the other puppies. A gentle soul, problems arose as she began training under her mother, Iðunn, as a hunter- her first successful hunt her mother had beamed as Urðr pounced upon the small garter snake and took it between her tiny, sharp teeth. As she dropped it a look of shock and fear overtook the puppy's face and she became distraught, backing up and pawing towards the little body as if coaxing it to slither away. Iðunn was at a loss, as she had never seen her quiet daughter so worked up.
"My little one, what's wrong? You've done so well!" She exclaimed.
"The snake... it's light went out! I'm afraid I took it, mother."
Now, Iðunn was well aware of this "light" she was speaking of, as her daughter possessed the gift of divination just as she did, and her father before her. Not once had she considered the repercussions of taking another beings light.
"Sweet child, it is often necessary for survival to take another's light. As a hunter you will do it often... otherwise your family will starve."
The puppy contemplated a moment, her head hanging low as she stared at the snake.
"Otherwise.. our lights will go out?"
A solemn nod from Iðunn.

Even after this talk she was hesitant to hunt, and even went so far as to experiment eating grasses, berries and bitter acorns. She still hunted of course, to feed herself and her pack, and she became an efficient hunter until the death of her father. After mourning, she was chosen to be the pack's new leader in part due to her ingenuity and compassion.
