Biography
No one knows if Aurora is mute or if she just isn't a fan of talking. Maybe it's because if you speak then others will speak back. They'll want to know about you. They'll ask you questions. When asked a question it is incredibly rude not to answer, and Aurora would absolutely hate to be rude. When she was young, before her mother had even named her, the Aurora Borealis was bright and alive in the sky. Her mother forbade her from leaving the cave to see the lights, as she was one of the few pups the mother had birthed that weren't deformed. Aurora came from a sick line, a dirty line of wolves isolated from society, hidden away from danger. Wolves that had been exiled from their packs for breeding with their kin banded together to create a community where they wouldn't have to hide their sinful nature. Aurora was already told by her mother that she would be promised to her older brother who had taken a liking to her. However, the young pup wasn't interested in boys, or girls, or any kind of wolf really. She was interested in the lights. She was interested in nature, in the beauty that life had to offer. So, against her mother's orders, she snuck out of the den when the lights were at their liveliest. She wove through bramble and snares, watched dutifully for tigers and bears, and made her way to a cliff to get the best vantage point to skygaze. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. She leaned, desperately trying to touch those beautiful stripes in the sky that looked not too different from the ones on her own coat. It didn't take long for her to hit the bottom. It took longer than she thought, agonizingly long, before the pain of the fall began to subside. She didn't know how long it had taken her to wake up. Deep in slumber, the forest had changed around her. Spirits had taken pity on her comatose form and had protected her in her unconscious state. Aurora was now a grown woman. Her pack had long since forsaken her, her mother's anguished howls a faint memory on the land. She had no more home. She stayed with the spirits awhile until a traveling pack offered to let her stay. Still, Aurora was an odd one. Everything she said came out wrong. She always offended someone. She looked on the darker side of things and scared the pups she sat. Each and every pack she joined ended up giving her the cold shoulder until she took a hint and took a hike. That is, until she stumbled upon Beastenguard. Aurora had long since stopped speaking to avoid being chased out early, but even her mannerisms and morphemes gave away her oddity, her immaturity. Once again, she took a liking to the pups; wanting to protect them, keep them from harm, give them the childhood that she so desperately craved. However, this time no one stared at her with disgust as she Pupsat. Wolves looked, sure, but only out of mild curiosity and interest. When she stumbled or staggered like a newborn would, no one laughed. Her pups weren't afraid of her, in fact they egged her on and teased her relentlessly, yet she found she didn't mind it. Maybe Aurora had found her true home, maybe not. She still wasn't ready to unleash her voice, especially if it would cost her the sole place she felt she may truly belong.
Interaction Logs:
7/10/23 - In the heart of Beastenguard, where Aurora had found her sanctuary, fate had another surprise in store for her. It was during one of her solitary walks through the dense forest that she encountered a wolf named Sonder. Unlike any wolf she had encountered before, Sonder possessed a dark, pitch-black coat that contrasted sharply against his eyes, which shimmered like delicate roses.
Sonder belonged to a separate lineage, one untouched by the illnesses and shame that had plagued Aurora's own family. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, there was an undeniable connection between them, an unspoken understanding that transcended the boundaries of their pasts. As their paths converged, Aurora approached Sonder with cautious curiosity. She observed his lazy and gentle nature, which resonated with her own spirit. In the presence of this enigmatic wolf, Aurora felt a sense of ease, as if she had discovered a kindred soul.
Their meeting unfolded in quiet reverence, with words left unspoken. They communicated through subtle gestures and shared glances, allowing the profound silence between them to fill the spaces that words could not reach. There was a deep resonance between their souls, a shared understanding that went beyond the need for verbal explanations. Sonder, with his serene demeanor, welcomed Aurora into his world. He embraced her quirks and her unique perspective, finding beauty in her unconventional ways. With him, Aurora felt a sense of liberation, as if she no longer needed to suppress her peculiarities or fear rejection.
Together, they would roam through the wilderness, basking in the tranquility of the untouched landscapes. They would chase fleeting sunlight and bathe in the moon's silver glow, finding solace in each other's silent company. It was a dance of shadows and light, a harmonious duet of two souls entwined by a shared destiny. In their companionship, Aurora discovered that acceptance and belonging could extend beyond the boundaries of a pack. With Sonder by her side, she realized that the love and understanding she had yearned for could be found in the connection between two kindred spirits, united by their shared struggles and their desire for a life untouched by judgment.
Their silent bond was a testament to the power of acceptance and the beauty of finding someone who could truly see the depths of one's soul. In Sonder, Aurora had found not only a companion but a beacon of hope and a reminder that, even in a world that often misunderstands and rejects, there exists the possibility of finding love and understanding in the most unexpected of places such as this stranger from another land entirely.
As time wove its intricate tapestry, the bittersweet truth began to unfold. Sonder, the gentle and enigmatic wolf who had captured Aurora's heart, revealed that his time in Beastenguard was drawing to a close. Duty called him back to his own pack, where he belonged. The news struck Aurora with a mix of joy and sorrow. Joy, for the life growing within her, a testament to the love shared between her and Sonder. Sorrow, for the inevitable separation that lay before them, a reminder of the transient nature of their time together. With a belly swollen with the promise of new life, Aurora faced an uncertain future. She had become a vessel for the legacy of their love, carrying the weight of their connection within her. As Sonder prepared to depart, his eyes filled with a mixture of longing and regret. He understood the gravity of the situation, knowing that he would not be there to witness the birth of their offspring.
In the final moments before their parting, Aurora and Sonder found solace in their silent exchange. Their eyes spoke volumes, reflecting the depth of their affection and the acceptance of their inevitable separation. They promised each other that their connection would endure, even if distance kept them physically apart. As Sonder departed, Aurora was left with a mixture of hope and trepidation. She knew that soon she would be blessed with a litter of pups, a living testament to the bond she and Sonder had shared. And while the uncertainty of raising them alone weighed heavily upon her, she drew strength from the memory of Sonder's gentle spirit and the love they had shared.
In the following moons, Aurora's form would teem with life, and the forest would whisper its secrets of impending birth. She sought refuge in the companionship of the forest, finding comfort in its ancient wisdom and the spirits that watched over her. They offered their guidance and protection, surrounding her with their ethereal presence as she prepared for the arrival of her little ones alongside spirits reminiscent of the ones of her past.
7/22/23 - It seems like an ideal day, but Aurora is insistent that something is bound to go wrong.
😡Aurora 💀 gives you a tired smile before launching into their usual complaints. They suddenly stop to show you something among their belongings and offer it to you. They don't want it, so it's yours now. AFTER GIVING BIRTH TO TWO BRACHY PUPS
