Alpha Female Tzintzún glared at her mate. "We don't need any more pupsitters. We still have that ugly blue male, what's-his-name... Waste-of-Space!"

"But she said please," Alpha Sulakhan replied with a smile.

"Fine," Tzintzún huffed, "but if we run out of food I get to decide who becomes meat chunks."

After being accepted as a pupsitter Quercus found that none of the currant Ghul Pack sitters were willing to share their puppies. She accepted an offer to help out on a struggling hunting party, and found it full of clumsy kids barely out of puphood. Quercus never complains, only stares with a wooden expression. She always did prefer the company of plants.
