Dasher joined the Pack as an adolescent, less than one year old. The Herbalist at the time, Alpine would allow the young Dasher to watch her sort herbs or help with a task. This, along with her closeness with the Herbalist, sparked Dasher's interest in herbalism. She saw Dasher as a sort of mother figure as well as a mentor. When she fell pregnant after a rendezvous with another Pack's breeding male, Alpine was the first wolf Dasher told. Alpine helped her deliver the pups and raised them like a grandmother.

Dasher was devastated upon Alpine's passing, but took her place immediately. She aims to be the best Herbalist she can, for Alpine as well as her Pack. She takes her role very seriously and demands respect, believing her role to be extremely important, which she can sometimes take to the point of being arrogant. However, no wolf doubts her devotion and self-respect, and despite her lofty demeanor, she is generally well respected by the Pack.
