As Darkvalley Pack's Lead Hunter, Desert is strongly focused on his duties. He often comes off as distant and a bit unfriendly towards wolves he isn't close with. Having joined the Pack as a younger adult, he was quick to forge a close bond with Law, a wolf his age who was also somewhat a newcomer. The dutiful Law was well-admired in his Pack and rumored to be in line for leadership, and Desert quickly proved himself a committed and outstanding Hunter. The two began to develop feelings after a short time, and became mates shortly before Law's ascent to leadership, with Desert by his side, as Leaders' mates in the Pack serve as co-leaders, though at the time, within his rank Desert stood in the Deputy Hunter position, in line behind Tarik, one of his huntmates, as Lead Hunter. Desert showed some closeness towards members of his party as well as always being very tightly bonded with Law. He succeeded Tarik as Lead Hunter, promising him to carry on the greatness of the Pack's previous Lead Hunters, and takes his position very seriously.
