Mullatiq's attitude is a work in progress. He knows he's the smartest one in the den, but has enough awareness to understand arrogance is not ideal in a Hunting Lead. He is worse when lounging with his witch mate Baaji, who loves a bit of verbal sparring.

Mullatiq's mother was one of the greatest Hunting Leads. When she handed down her family's magically preserved rabbit chew toy, she told him the story of a Hunting Lead's most prestigious challenge. Reaching middle age, Alpha Sulakhan had learned some wolves deserved only so much patience. Baaji pushed him, but he was the one who said it in front of everyone. The resulting beating was brief but one to remember. The newly scarred young male learned his lesson, showing more respect to his elders from then on.
