EQUINOX, SUNTOUCHED KING

Suntouched King of Apricus, Herald of the Endless Summer

As a Suntouched, Equinox's blessing seems much more prominent than Arid's ever was, but that can mostly be attributed to the eternal summer that reaches throughout the desert Apricus calls home. Despite his packmates having a tolerance to the heat themselves, Equinox revels in it. In stark contrast to his predecessor, he seemingly never stops moving. Whereas Arid spent a great deal of her time at Redrocks as a watchful presence, Equinox is fiercely driven and spends a great deal of his time away from the densite of Apricus. Despite his aloofness, Equinox rules as the Suntouched with a gentleness that he shows nowhere else in his character. Some say Arven's heat has begun to melt his cold heart.

Equinox is what some of the older wolves dare to call "a loose canon." (Of course, never would they dare say it his earshot) Equinox, quite honestly, struggles with imposter syndrome left behind by his predecessor. Equinox is greatly respected, but Arid was beloved. It is never doubted that Equinox wants what is best for Apricus, but he lacks the connection that Arid had. Despite his predecessor's aloofness, she was gentle and kind. Equinox is brash and clumsy with his words, fumbling through official announcements given atop the pile of boulders at Redrocks and second-guessing himself during Solar Court meetings.

He relies heavily on his beloved Solstice's eloquence and cunning. Despite this, Equinox's heart shows in his fierce defense of his pack and strategic mind. Equinox revels in the eternal summer, and often takes up his duty to patrol the borders for strangers who don't carry Arven's blessing.

RELATIONS

SOLSTICE -> beloved mate. solstice is perhaps the only wolf who dares make fun of equinox within his earshot. their playful yet snarky remarks during pack gatherings often lead to stifled chuckles as the pack members try not to laugh. behind closed doors, solstice is equinox's greatest supporter, although their dynamic as a pair is often questioned by packmates.

KADOTA - apricus' warden and second only to solstice as equinox's confidant, kadota and equinox share a bond similar to brotherhood
