The beginning

Starting as a unwanted weak pup Topaz was sold at the trading center by her pack soon after she was weaned. The underground crystals pack was very young at the time, with just a few hunters and Opal, the leader, was looking for new wolves to join. She had been wandering around the trading center for a while now, and was planning to leave and go back to the pack empty-pawed when she stumbled upon her. Some time had passed and now she was a young adolescent, small and weak. The leader was immediately caught by her beautiful blue eyes and golden fur, plus she needed a new pupsitter for the new pack to take care of her litter and ignoring how little she was sge decided to buy Topaz for a bunch of silver cones. At first she she was only a pupsitter, and she had to take care of the leader's young ones until they where old enough to learn a role. With time as her role experience grew her bond with Opal grew too: they played toghter, took care of the pups together and soon they became inseparable. with time she became the leader's assistant, helping her with pack duties when she did not have pups to look after.



Older years

Topaz had joined the pack just some seasons after it was founded, she had the job to take care of the little ones and she did so all days for years. Now her muzzle was gray, her eyes heavy, her bones weak and she got more and more tired everyday; pupsitting was not for her anymore. After 6 years of serving the pack as a pupsitter it was time for her to change role. At first she wasn't happy. Even though the job was exhausting she loved taking care of the pups, playing with them when their mothers where away. It was hard for the leader to try explain. she had enough experience to help the pack in a different way, using the wisdom collected in the years to train the youngs to grow stronger, teaching them how to survive by themselves. Finally she decided. She now was pack's first mentor, and under her watch pups would learn how to live in the wild by themselves, teaching the new generation to be stronger.
