Woad

Calla watches as Woad finishes up one last medicine before she goes to rest & wait for her pups to be born. This is Woad's second litter & she needs nothing but Calla's calm companionship in the coming days.

Woad was befriended deep in the forest by Runa on one of her explorations.

She had soon joined other pack members in hunting, but seeing Runa ill and no herbalist in the pack she determined to learn the skills and recipes needed fill this role.
She told Runa & Tala of her decision and left them to go inspect the Elderbery Grove den. She was satisfied there would be plenty of space to make up and store the variety of medicines needed  with room to care for an ill wolf or three. Leaving the den behind she immediately went to forage until the hunters returned. She needed to tell them also.

An hour later she was in the Leaning Fir den. They had mixed feelings over her news; they'd miss her on their hunts, but were grateful she would become their herbalist. Following her to the pack's hoard they helped her move the herbs and medicines to her new den then left her to sort and organize everything to her satisfaction.
