She left everything to start something new with Jethro. One could call them childhood sweethearts, but things were not always like that with the two of them. Sometimes they were only acquaintances. Sometimes they were more like friends.  Ru didn't know that Jethro had always had an eye on her more than the others, only that he had to leave their birth pack to be able to establish a life free of what others told him to do, and she wanted the same.  

She is confident and cool, a destined leader from her earliest days trying to boss around her littermates.  Ru is the kind of leader that makes others want to impress her. Her esteem allows her to take a more lax stance in how she commands, no hidden agenda, or power trips needed.  Still, her desire for closeness paired with her position can make for awkwardness with packmates when she comes off as trying to be "the cool leader".  It can be especially awkward when she is dealing with the several other members of the tribe who are years her senior.
