Petra's best friend was leaving in the night.  So much else was going on in her life as a new yearling, but none of it seemed to matter to her when Ru came to her to say goodbye. She could not even find it in herself to be truly angry with her, the romantic she is, but sometimes Petra wonders what could have happened for her in their childhood pack if she had stayed.

She was given the highest rank of the new tribe in exchange for her loyalty in following after Ru without being asked. Petra has struggled more with leadership. She is incredibly precise about how things should be done, and even about superstitions that no one else can seem to keep track of. Some say that experience will help her as she grows older, and others curse her controlling nature under their breath.
