Runewing and Sagebrush are not actually romantic lovers. Rather, they are just very close friends, who decided the world needed more adoptive parents. Being assigned to the same hunting party, they realised that they both needed a friend, as they were both one of the very first wolves that joined the Flamewalker pack, just after founding. Despite having a fierce gaze, Runewing is actually a big softie on the inside, often throwing lopsided wolfy grins at Sagebrush. She retaliates likewise, pranking Runewing every so often, like making Runewing try and pounce on a stick instead of their prey. They like spending time together watching the stars.
