Maffei had dreamed of being a tracker since he was only a young pup. He found the role lived up to expectations once he was finally old enough to begin his training. He adores his role as a tracker and is excited to learn all he can about the role.

Smoke and Maffei are two peas in a pod. These two wolves are as thick as thieves, and spend their spare time sharing stories of their day and of their families. Maffei is proud to call the wolf his brother-in-law.

History

Maffei was born to Aurora and Racoon alongside his littermates Moldavite, Australis, and Callisto. Maffei had always had a powerful imagination, spending many of his younger years daydreaming about his future role within the pack. He knew he wanted to be a hunter, preferably a tracker and spent his time forcing his siblings to play hide and seek with him to practice for his future role.

Once he reached adolescence, Maffei excitedly began his training as a tracker. Maffei showed great eagerness and skill for the role very early on and the older hunters were impressed by his work ethic. Maffei found his training to be very fun, though he did miss his siblings who all chose to train as pupsitters.

Maffei had proven himself to be an impressive tracker by the time he reached adulthood. The role had lived up to everything he had ever wanted, and he enjoyed spending his days with his hunting team. He always had more to learn about his role, and he vowed to learn everything he could.

Maffei never had an interest in having pups or a mate. He realized from a young age that he didn't feel love the same way his siblings seemed to, not in a romantic way at least. The idea of having a mate just didn't appeal to the wolf, and nothing about having or raising pups appealed to him either. Fine by him, he was happy to spend his days with his family and friends and be a cool uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Maffei adored his mother, she had been such a strong wolf, and he was inspired by her life. It was hard to lose her, even if he knew she was getting older, and it was simply her time. His father passed not long afterwards, an extra punch to his heart. He knew it would take time to grieve and found comfort in his hunting team and siblings.

On the 7th year and 6th month of his life, Maffei and his littermates found themselves panicked when they were unable to find Australis. While the siblings knew it was their time to climb the mountains summit, they refused to go without their brother. After half a month and still no sign of their brother however, Maffei and his siblings had no choice but to leave their brother behind. On the 7th year and 6 and a half month of his life, Maffei made his way to the mountains summit. Ruby, Callisto, and Moldavite keeping him company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky, Moldavite, Maffei, and Callisto were greeted by their parents Aurora and Racoon, who gently guided them to the afterlife.
