Named for her pale gradient color, as if she is walking through fog. Fogstep has keen senses and naturally took up the role as the lead scout of the pack.
Fogstep was friends with Noctilucent before she met her mate Rain Dove. They had been traveling together as a pair for several weeks. Their old pack had implied that despite her skills in scouting and tracking, Fogstep was a risk for the pack because of her pale coat. She took it upon herself to leave the group and Noctilucent left with her, angry and bitter at the pack leaders' unwillingness to listen to reason. When Noctilucent joined Rain Dove's newly forming pack, Fogstep readily joined her friend, reassured by the sight of the pale-furred leader. It is true a wolf with such light fur could stand out among the dark browns and greys of the forest, but Fogstep took pride in her ability to move stealthily and be highly observant of her surroundings. She saw signs that others did not, and seemed almost to predict movements and changes in other creatures or in the landscape before they could affect her. This vigilance is what had kept her alive as a young pup, and with this sixth sense, something as slight as pale fur would not be her downfall.
