Intelligent and analytical, Lichen makes for a very skilled tracker. While Lichen likes his job, he more so took it just because he knew he would be good at it and wanted to show off to his pack. He would rather a job that would give him more excuses to fight other wolves, like a scout.

What Lichen and Swamp have doesn't really feel like a friendship, but they both consider it that. These two are often seen fighting and bickering about the littlest things. They seem to enjoy this however, and push comes to shove these two would protect each other with their lives.


History

Lichen was born to Elk, Badger, and Finch alongside his littermates Bison, Heron, Honey, Courser, and Agate. Lichen has loved causing drama from a young age, his parents having to keep a close eye on him, so he doesn't do too much harm. Lichen finds Bison and Agate the most fun to mess with out of all his littermates, those two need to be taken down a peg in his opinion.

Once an adolescent, Lichen chose to train as a tracker, his littermates choosing various roles. He wasn't shocked by Agate and Bison chose the roles of finisher and chaser. Not that he minded, he already knew he would make for a skilled tracker and was excited to have his littermates training so close to him… That way he could show off how much better he was then them a lot easier.

By the time he reached adulthood, Lichen had worked hard to become a skilled tracker. He needed to show his siblings how much better he was than them, especially Agate and Bison. His hunting team seemed impressed by the wolves' abilities, even if they hated his stupid gloating whenever they admitted it.

Agate… Isn't the easiest wolf to be around. He loves antagonizing and overshining others. The likelihood of a wolf like him getting a mate was slim to none. That didn't stop Lichen from gloating about his fictional future mate, however, insisting that they would love and adore him, be perfect in every way. Lichen's siblings just called him a hopeless idiot.

Lichen was obviously sad when his father Badger died, he just didn't show it like his siblings did. Death happens, why should he lose sleep over it? He couldn't help but see his siblings frankly as weak for all the tears they shed. He could understand their tears when their mother Elk passed soon after. There was a reason for that. They had lost their leader that time, of course that would make wolves worried. Especially with his little nibling Fern in charge… Lichen didn't have high hopes for the pup. Lichen would be lying if he said he was devastated when his father Finch died. He was a little sad but well, he was never that close with his father anyway. It wouldn't take him long to grieve.

On the 7th year and 6th month of his life, Lichen made his way to the mountains summit. Bison, Heron, Honey, Courser, Agate, and Ruby keeping him company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky, Lichen, Bison, Heron, Honey, Courser, and Agate were greeted by their Parents, Fern, Badger, and Finch, who gently guided them to the afterlife.
