Courser finds pups much easier to manage that adult wolves. Pups are simple and wear their hearts on their sleeves. It also puts Courser's observant nature to use, he always has to keep his eyes peeled to ensure no pups get into trouble.

These two observant wolves get along very well, spending their time together analyzing their packmates and gossiping about any drama they had managed to overhear.


History

Courser was born to Elk, Badger, and Finch alongside her littermates Bison, Heron, Honey, Lichen, and Agate. Courser frankly finds his littermates to be so overwhelming, preferring to spend her time alone, watching her packmates work around camp. She has always found observing and analyzing wolves to be way more fascinating than spending time with them.

Once an adolescent, Courser began training as a pupsitter alongside one of her littermates Honey, his other littermates taking various roles. Courser found that while she finds older wolves to be rather annoying, pups weren't that bad. She didn't mind the idea of taking care of pups and looking after the base. It would give him an excuse to use his observation skills as well, no pups would wander off or be injured on her watch.

By the time she reached adulthood, Courser had proven herself to be a diligent and skilled pupsitter. Courser enjoyed the company of pups, they were simple. Even at a young age, Courser was greatly respected as a pupsitter by her peers. She was great with pups and amazing at watching them. No wolf feared for the pups with Courser watching over them.

While Courser may not get along with many wolves or care for their company, she isn't against the idea of taking a mate. Not all wolves are bad and finding a mate and maybe having pups with them sounded somewhat desirable to her. Finding a mate was the hard part… New wolves didn't join the pack every day. Well, nothing to get hung up on. Maybe one day a kind and sweet wolf would join the pack and Courser and they would fall in love. One day.

Courser spends more time along than normal when her father Badger died. She found comfort in the silence, comfort in herself. Just as she was beginning to recover, her mother Elk passed, and she became a loner once more. As if things couldn't get worse, her father Finch then passed. This time however, her older siblings saw how much she was isolating herself and began to help Courser in simple ways. Still allowing the wolf to grieve along when she wished, but giving her support when she needed it. Courser was so grateful for her siblings.

Courser was already a pupsitter, becoming the pack's new mentor after Avalanche's death simply felt like the next logical step. She doesn't mind the job, truthfully it isn't must different then her old one, besides having to teach the pups just a bit more.

On the 7th year and 6th month of her life, Courser made her way to the mountains summit. Bison, Heron, Honey, Lichen, Agate, and Ruby keeping her company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky, Courser, Bison, Heron, Honey, Lichen, and Agate were greeted by their Parents, Fern, Badger, and Finch, who gently guided them to the afterlife.
