SMOLDER

the wolf who belongs to no pack

Deep within the Wolvden mountains resides the wolf who belongs to no pack, the wolf who only belongs to himself. His existence is a mysterious one, as it is said that he materialized from the smoke and fire of a forest. The mountains are his resting place, the only place he returns to frequently for rest.

Few know of Smolder's puphood. Lillemor stumbled across the pup after a small wildfire broke out at the base of the mountains. His fur was covered in soot and ash and he cowered within untouched brambles near the tragedy.

Lillemor took Smolder under her care, as she did many pups. He didn't speak much, and Lillemor soon found that he had trouble doing so.

Pups were adopted by packs who were looking for new little ones to train, but Smolder was always too skittish to go with anyone who expressed interest in him. He stuck to Lillemor like glue until he was old enough to survive on his own.

Smolder has traveled alone since he was about a year and a half old. He has always found solitude comforting.

NPC RELATIONSHIPS

Though he has kept to living on his lonesome, that is not to say that Smolder is completely unfriendly. He has made a few friends and acquaintances.

• Herbalist Bear | Smolder considers Bear to be a good friend, who also happens to patch him up when he is injured and heals his ailments. Smolder discovered Bear after a nasty fight with a cougar left him with festering wounds.
• Raccoon | Smolder will only admit that her tolerates Raccoon and his little shop, however, he finds Raccoon charming in his own, weird little way.
• The Chaorainn Pack | Smolder has been known to come to the aid of The Chaorainn Pack whenever requested. He is particularly fond of Maeve, who he has developed a protective tendancy for.
• Lillemor / Mother Bear | Smolder has much love for Lillemor and has fond memories of her. He remembers her kindness from the time he was a pup under her care. He was never adopted into a pack, and he finds himself content with that. After all, Mother Bear was always there for him.

As of late, Smolder has been considering companionship. Though, he isn't so sure about starting a pack...

Unfortunately, Smolder's awkward attempts of making companions and friends have fallen short. Somehow the recent fumbles and failures to make nice have left him feeling lonelier than before. The mere consideration for companionship has developed into some sort of longing that manifested sadness in him when he found himself coming up short.

PACK RELATIONSHIPS

• Pollux | When Smolder stumbled upon Pollux, it wasn't exactly the perfect mix of personalities. In fact, Smolder didn't even want Pollux to travel with him in the first place. She is loud, she is frolicky, and he finds her incredibly annoying. Unfortunately, she is also incredibly persistent and has insisted on hanging around. What a drag.
• Moluna | While on his lonesome, with Pollux distracted by Schlatt, Smolder stumbled upon a wolf named Moluna. He struck him as odd because of his unnatural fur colors, but after a bit of talking, Smolder finally has found someone he can speak comfortably with.

OUTSIDE RELATIONSHIPS

• Schlatt | Schlatt is a traveling wolf that met Smolder and Pollux while they were walking about the mountains. After seeing what Schlatt imagined was an awkward silence, he joined their journey! Smolder is not Schlatt's biggest fan. He has since avoided much interaction...
