"Hello, My name is Forest. I was a traveller before I passed away, I was brought back though! Wanna hear some stories of the places I travelled..?"

SpoilerForest had only begun his journey, not travelling all to far from home yet; he set off quickly for a new territory to explore. Before long, he realized he didn't quite know where to look. How would he meet other wolves? Would he just stumble upon their territory and hope they wouldn't claw his fur off for trespassing? His thoughts ran rampant in his mind before he heard an ominous screech above him. A hawk circled far above his head; was this bird preying upon him?…
Soon, the large bird flew down, flapping its large wings and calling out to him. Before Forest could react, the bird swooped down to pluck a small tuft of fur from his back, then swung around to fly in front of him. Forest barked in offense; "Well what was that for?!". The bird cawed at him loudly, repeatedly looking at him than back out towards the distance. "Great, now I'm following some strange bird towards gods knows what".
He followed the strange hawk a good distance before he heard a high pitched howl. "Great Dahmahaw! So my mothers' companion was right; there was a new traveler passing through!" The she-wolf blurted out. Forest stared in disbelief. How'd she know he was here?
She chuckled and gave a wag of her tail towards him. "Apologies for the petty theft of Creed, he's my mother's scout bird. He reports any passing wolves and is acquainted with the well-worn scent of travellers. He was trying to guide you to me, with success it seems!" She barked cheerfully.
Forest stared back with a bright and curious gaze. "Well gosh.. since you're already aware I'm a traveller, you don't suppose I could stay a few nights in your territory?, I am already exceptionally intrigued by your tamed bird".
She giggled back at his response. "Well he's far from a tamed bird, but he's certainly loyal. But yes of course!, come join us; there is already a few travellers with us I'm sure you'd want to meet. I am Lottie by the way, the Chieftains' daughter."
Forest bowed his head to her as he followed the she-wolf into the Salmonstone pack's territory. Here he spent a few days acquainted with this strange yet remarkable group of wolves.

Lore: SpoilerForest found himself in a large deciduous forest in the middle of the night. There was a blue mist at the bases of the trees that made his fur rise on end as he looked around. He heard the bark of a female wolf and saw a white and grey she-wolf approach him from within the mist. She seemed to have a gentle glow off her pelt and her eyes were a frosty blue. She introduced herself as Marie-Ève , a den mother for the Starshade Pack. She invited Forest to come back with her to the pack and rest for a few moons. Forest happily accepted and walked back with the kind she-wolf, the mist feeling less intimidating and more welcoming now.

Marie-Ève explained how the Starshade Woods were permeated with lunar energy and how little lunar creatures would find themselves in these woods by mistake because of the energy. It was why her pelt glowed. Some of her markings resonated with the lunar energy and she'd also been exposed to the energy her whole life.

Forest and Marie-Ève soon arrived at the densest part of the forest where the leaves were so thick, the forest floor was shaded from even starlight. But the den was far from dark as wolves of all kinds walked about with gently glowing pelts, the glow of the mist giving a calming atmosphere. Forest stayed as a pupsitter, caring for the pups of the Starshade Pack while exchanging stories with Marie-Ève. She gave him a large branch with bright red leaves as a gift before Forest headed off to find a new adventure.

Lore (if wanted): SpoilerForest didn't like the pack of Viskande Vindar much. It wasn't that they were cruel, or awkward, or even too nice. They were just... sad. They performed their tasks with a sense of impending grief for someone, and he didn't realise who it was for until the incident. The Maleira (healer), Frozen Sun, stumbled in her work one day and collapsed. Her apprentice cried out, and the pack rushed to stabilise her.

"Are you ill?" Forest asked her afterwards. "Can't you heal yourself?" The she-wolf sighed, watching her apprentice sadly. Or, not-apprentice, now. She'd taken over the Maleira's work, pushing herself to near-exhaustion.

"There's no curing a body that's ready to die," Frozen Sun replied. She wagged her tail softly when he seemed upset at this response. "I have lived longer than many of the pack. It's my time. I only worry that K'vaer will have my soul."

"K'vaer?"

"Don't say Their name," she said worriedly. "You are an outsider to Them. K'vaer will look after my soul, even if our pack should not belong to them."

Forest wouldn't even pretend that he understood, but the conversation had finished. If he hunted with the others as much as he could, though, trying to help the pack in this small way, it is only for him to tell.

Calliope, the wolf who found him, took him to the alpha who let him stay. He rested by a lake with other travellers and chatted about their adventures while taking care of some of their pups. After a while, he decided to move onto the next pack, but not before Calliope gave him a gift (gained Flaming Beads).

Lore (if wanted): SpoilerAfter he visited the Rainforest, Forest decided to head North towards the Riparian Woodland. As soon as he entered the dense marsh, a beautiful black butterfly greeted him, landing on and tickling his nose. It then started to fly away, and Forest decided to follow it. It started heading deeper and deeper into the marsh with each flap it took and Forest began to wonder whether this was a good idea. But he quickly took the thought back when the butterfly landed on a bright red flower, telling him his journey had come to a halt. He shifted his gaze from the flower to the land behind it, only to see cozy, well-put-together dens with wolves laughing and eating in between. He had made it to his next destination.
