Tenebris

Deity of Life and Freedom

Tenebris was born with an anomaly. All puppies have short snouts and big heads, but this particular pup is very wrinkled and visually deformed, as though someone pushed their face into their head. Tenebris is audibly gasping for air, but they are alive, and seem healthy for now.

The night they were born, the sky was dark. Dark clouds were overhead, blocking the light of the stars. Not even moonlight could pierce the darkness.

This pup was meant to die. There's no doubt about that. But this pack has never been one to accept fate.

Nessus could sense something special about this pup. Like many of the pups born into this pack, they had a extraplanar connection, an aura of shadow surrounding them. Perhaps they too had a connection to the Raven Queen, like Nessus's mate Shadowfell. Or perhaps the void-like sky was an omen for something more sinister.

Together, Nessus, Shadowfell, and the pup's parent Ambroys were able to keep this pup alive using a few dark rituals they had learned over the years. The cost of these is still unknown, but it will undoubtedly impact future generations of the pack.

Generations down the line, the fabled pup goes missing, at least as far as they can tell. They seem to have disappeared into thin air. And perhaps they did. They don't know where they ended up, or where they are now. They just feel the warmth of nature around them, opposed to the chill of the glaciers.

They feel as though they are in an endless slumber, but they feel at peace.
