Earth Walker

6 met her near the great lake in the tundra biome. Earth Walker was resting between some bushes, laying on her belly, enjoying the fresh snow that was partially covering the ground much like white patches partially cover her coat. Perfectly camouflaged. She was standing so still and 6 was so caught up in her thoughts that at first she didn't see poor Earth Walker and ended up stepping on the sleeping wolf. An acute whine reached 6's hears as she felt a sharp pain in one of her front paws (Earth Walker had instinctively bitten her), she jumped two meters in the air, while Earth Walker started bolting towards the lake. Upon landing back on this planet, 6 (and her very shocked face) required a moment to realize what had happened, she wanted to go after the wolf but when she reached the water's edge she found Earth Walker soaking wet coughing up water while trying to catch her breath. 6 ended up helping Earth Walker while the latter explained that she run as fast as she could, didn't see the mud, ended up slipping and sliding until she fell in the water. The two wolves spent the rest of the afternoon chilling near the lake, enjoyed swimming and hunting ducks, when evening came they went back together to 6's territory where Earth Walker was greeted by a load of pups, she ended up taking care of them for some time to repay the pack and 6's generosity before saying goodbye. 6 walked with her to the end of her territory, the two didn't speak much during the trip, when they reached their destination they embraced one last time, Earth Walker directed a final look to the land she was leaving with such sadness in her heart, then she turned around and started trotting away. "I'll see you again" she thought, looking back at 6 for the very last time, "I'll come back", but she never did.
