Piper is a romantic soul. She wants, more than anything, to find love. And she's ventured outside of the pack's males to find it. When she gave birth to golden twins, Masenka and Betsalel, rumors surfaced over who their father was. Neither one of them resembled Neo in any way. She's been vague about their heritage, but Genesis is no fool.
In her second litter, Damask, her son, died under the watch of a pup sitter. She grieves for him.
Her third litter was incredibly disappointing. Genesis would not have cared about her prohibited love affairs outside of the pack if they benefitted the pack, but they had very clearly not in this instance. For her fourth litter, to keep it safe, she decided to couple with Neo.
On her sixth birthday, she looked over the pack and realized with a broken heart that out of her sixteen pups, none of them were permitted to survive, and there was no one to love her in her final days. The old scout, Redrum, opted to try to fill that hole in Piper's heart.
