Smoldering Ash

Smoldering Ash had a mostly normal upbringing. She was the type to pursue her goals as quickly as possible, straying further from her pack's digs every second she could spare.

On one of these outings she bumped into Sun Eyes, who was immediately enamored with her. She had similar feelings, and wasn't hard to convince into joining his ranks.

They had a short-lived tryst before realizing they weren't a good pair, and she was not meant for a leadership role. They remained friendly, though, and Ash celebrated the new beta, Delta Runner.

Ash took the role of scout for a time, trading off with Fresh Face. She enjoyed the freedom and new scenery, but preferred being a hunter. She traded off once again, this time with the younger she-wolf, Star Shine. Fresh Face remained a hunter, and they grew closer.

They were apprehensive to approach Sun Eyes. Aside from the leader himself, no wolves in the pack had taken a lifelong mate. To their surprise and relief, Sun was overjoyed and congratulated them both when they spoke to him. With his and Delta's blessing, they became the first pair bonded wolves in the Sky Wheel Pack.

When Delta passed, Sun Eyes refused to replace her. Almost a season passed when finally, Ash gently asked to take up the position. After all, the duties of two positions were too much for the aging male. Although it still hurt, Sun agreed.
