abot the herbalist role

The herbalist is one of the most important roles in the pack. Smart and wise a herbalist's job is to heal sick wolves, foraging for herbs and crafting medicines and remedies. There can be only one herbalist at time, and a heir for the role is choosen when the current one is 6 years and 12 months of age.
Since it is such a important job founder of the pack Opal decided to create rules for all future hebalists to follow.
Furst rule says that a herbalist must "always work, unless tired" and if there are no sick wolves to heal the herbalist must forage for herbs to save and use when needed, because if a dangerousillnesswill spred into the pack there will be no time to forage, having all herbs neccessary is very important.
Second rule is to "not have a familiar" an animal, usually a bird or in special cases a small mammal, given to important wolves in the pack, it helps the wolf with their role. Familiars can distracting for herbalists, and their help in not needed for their job.
Last rule is to "not have a pairbond" a rule followed by every herbalist, regardless of their gender, a herbalist's life mist be fully dedicated to their job, and there is no time to spend with a lived one. If a herbalist if found with another wolf punishment will be exile, or in some cases even death.
