Former refugee from neighboring pack, deputy and council member, Manaia is a highly respected member of the group. Her relationship with the founders was first up to a rocky start, especially with her now mate, Feya. She'd arrived with a litter of two pups that didn't make it to adulthood due to illnesses.

Afrer the loss of her two pups, Manaia grew to become secluded, to not want to be with anyone another than Lenika. It took a lot of coaxing from her beloved friend to get into pupsitting alongside them. Together, they learned how to look after all the young that needed to be looked after, becoming the best sitters and mentors in the group.

Feya, quick to grow feelings after a year had gone by, had tried making subtle advances... Manaia had grown to like the new leader, especially since they tolerated her behavior. After another year of close friendship and nudging from Lenkia, they finally decided to be with one another. Manaia had her worries, learning that somehow, leaders don't age as quickly as subordinate wolves would....

Wanting to live the best life with her mate, she suggested adopting several litters with Feya. Even if not all the wolves they took in decided to stay, Manaia gained a sense of fulfillment. The pair hang out nearly every day with the children they do have, despite her not getting along with the majority of them anymore.

The loss of her friend when she was around 6 years shook her. Manaia is only a year younger than her by a year... worry tugs at her every day, not wanting to not be with her mate. The fear of her upcoming demise is what makes her stay in the dens and rarely leave.
