Half-moon smiled as he looked across his peers from his small nook. Despite his medical knowledge, not even herbs could heal old age. He looked over to his former apprentice, seeping peacefully, and then over to the pups that crowded the nesting site. His smile morphs into a solemn one, and he nods to himself. Yes, they'll be in good paws when he's gone. Salmon had become a skillful herbalist, and he trusted her to keep the pack safe.
With one last look over the territory, he rested his chin on his paws. He was content to keep watch until his time came.
