Biography
"He likes to smile... and he kills ANYTHING that moves."
~~Allison Angel (Pendle), Bendy and the Dark Revival
At first, the acts of Ink on Parchment had been somewhat harmless. When it was discovered that he was placing the departed souls of fallen elders into vessels crafted from the plant-based fluid he'd invented, wolves from all over the area were rightly concerned.
And yet... that was nothing in comparison for what was to come.
As the seasons passed by, strange sigils began to appear. A few at first, along the inner borders of the Naonuma Pack territory. They reeked of plant-fluid, leading many to accuse Ink on Parchment of leaving them in an attempt to frighten the pack pups. But no proof of these claims has been found.
However... as time marched on, more and more sigils appeared. No longer were they just past the main camp grounds. Instead, they were everywhere. To the furthest reaches of the Riparian Woodland itself, these marks appeared. Even as far as the edge of the woodland itself, they marked the trees and stones. But yet, still, none of the blame could be accurately pinned, whether on Ink on Parchment or otherwise.
Then, one day... young Bendy disappeared without a trace.
No one saw him leave out of the camp. Not a soul. And yet, he disappeared for moons on end. His mother and father were rightfully worried, especially considering Bendy was... special. After losing him at birth, the two had decided to do something risky- implant the soul of a pup into one of Inky's crafted vessels. This action was risky- the vessel was tiny, the same size of the deceased newborn pup, but the transfer had never been done with a pup's soul before! The chances of losing their son for good were astronomically high... and yet... they risked it all.
And somehow... fate smiled upon them, as they watched their son take his first gulp of air. But... something wasn't right. His fur had turned as black as pitch, and his eyes seemed... hollow. He dripped, oozed plant-fluid, and he seemed... different from his littermates. Different from any known wolf.
It all made sense, on the fateful day he disappeared.
King Rúthian searched high and low for the younger male. Across rivers, trekking up mountains, even daring into the bitter and cold unknown of the Tundra. But not a sight of the younger one was spotted for... moon knew how long.
And then, one day, he just... appeared. As if he'd never been missing at all.
When asked about it, he couldn't give a straight answer. 'I don't remember much,' he'd said upon being interrogated by both the King and his Queen. 'All I remember is... a voice. Calling to me. Leading me. To find him. To find Smudge.'
Who was Smudge? Only Bendy knew...
Bendy's Notes:
Smudge? He's the other half of me. The Grinning Demon. Hes everything I'm not. Everything I am. He is me. I am he. We are one, but two. Two, yet one. We are the same, we wear the same smile, we haunt the same souls...
If you're smart, you'll heed these words:
BEWARE THE INK DEMON...
