Lore: Training Feroux [NBW] explained to Autumn🍁 that with bigger prey, you can wound them in vulnerable areas so that they are easier to take down. Autumn🍁 mimicked where she bit the carcass near the belly and ankles. Her stay!
Autumn's sitter and trainer at Villmennene was a pup loving, adult hating NBW named Feroux! Heres her link: https://www.wolvden.com/wolf/8170145 she was under the care of Feroux with another female pup who she grew close to, Sprite the Husky eyed Galena pup. Her link https://www.wolvden.com/wolf/8261687 both girls were the exact same age! Without further delay, here is Autumns experience in Villmennene of the Swamp.
The ground was getting wet, warm and too soft and unstable for comfort as Autumn pushed on. Her legs, increasingly long and gangly as she approached adolescence, struggled to ground her steps as she waded into the swamp. Had they been right? No, of course not. She was NOT too young to quell the thirst of her wandering spirit. A sudden call shook her inner conflict and insisted upon her attention.
"Civilian on the outer perimeter! State your business!"
Her eyes darted and searched, locking onto a young yearling male wolf, bounding like a spring buck set on the rut through what had been rough terrain for Autumn. A heavy set she wolf trotted behind him, smiling with her eyes. The male spoke again " I said, YOUR BUSINESS"
"Stand down Marine" said the big she wolf as she approached Autumn "you aren't alpha yet" Autumn tucked her tail between her legs.
"Thats Marine" the she wolf smiled "I'm Hilcrest of the great Winter Line. What brings you to our land?"
"Its a long story.." Autumn gulped, ears flat and body low to the ground as she begun following Hilcrest.
It was morning. When Autumn had been delivered to the base of Villmennene, still being a pup she was exhausted, and after being introduced by Hilcrest to her sitter Feroux she crashed out. She hadnt had the time to get aquainted with her "littermate" the other pup that Feroux was responsible for, but that was about to change.
"Rise and SHINE!' A singsong girls voice broke Autumns slumber. She opened her eyes and saw a pair of piercing blue ones, the young she wolf they belonged to was bouncing and springing about infront of her "The alpha wants to see you-wow your eyes! Whats your name?" "Autumn" came the response mid yawn "i have Fae eyes"
"Fae" the other pup responded dreamily "I'm Sprite, i have Husky eyes" she posed, nose high "They are special. SO special, only Ihave them andI have been promised to Villmennenes STUD!" She let her tongue hang from her mouth and pushed a colourful swamp flower to her head. Autumn laughed, she liked how animated Sprite was.
"We should be friends. We have special eyes. Nowolf has fae eyes here like nowolf has husky" she paused "hang on-you said your name is Autumn?! No. WAY."
"What?!" Autumn asked, unsure if that meant good or bad. Sprite wiggled with excitement "Come on!"
The girls walked, occasionally pausing so Sprite could flash a grin to a passing, male pack member. They arrived at a heavily decorated trail, leading to two guards. They parted for a grin from Sprite and behind them was an old, dark red she wolf in a heavy crown of flowers and antlers, and she had..no eyes?! Autumn panicked a little. It looked painful and creepy.
"Who's your friend, Sprite?" The old female said. How could she see them?
"You've been wearing flowers again. You stink more than i do!" She laughed.
" This is Autumn, alpha Valkyrie" Sprite smiled. The alpha's ears pricked "Well, not in all my years!" She exclaimed "you're the young one the scouts brought in, but they never told me your name! Follow me, Autumn" she stood slowly and began down the decorated trail.
"Thankyou, Sprite. You may catch up later. I want to get aquainted. Dismissed" she nodded toward the guards. Autumn followed until they came to a slot machine. That was not what Autumn expected. The alpha stuck cones into it perfectly despite her blindness. She spoke again "In all my years as an alpha, in all my years as a wolf, i have never come across another Autumn"
Young Autumn gasped "YOUR name is Autumn too?!" The old girl chuckled "Yes my dear pup. Autumn Valkyrie of the great Valkyrie line, third alpha of Villmennene. For me, that name meant great things. I have experienced more than i could try describe. The name Autumn is incredibly special, and so are you. Yes, i know, easy for me to say, but i can smell it. I feel it. YOU are destined for great things. Here, try it" she offered the young Autumn the slots lever. She quietly pulled it, unsure of what to say. Finally, she asked "what happened to your eyes?" The alpha laughed with a loud HA. She gestured to her crown, adorned with great antlers. "Antlers happened. But now i wear them. They took my eyes, i took their heads. Such is the way of battle." She sat close to Autumn, handing her more silver cones "have another go, but dont hog it. An old lady needs her slots!" Autumn giggled, and pulled the lever, then gasped. Alpha Autumn asked "let me guess-jackpot? Told you you were set to win in the world! Its been wonderful meeting you, precious Autumn"
"As it has you wisest Autumn Valkyrie!" She replied "look at all these cones!" She felt a little silly for saying that to a blind wolf, but the alpha just laughed, rejected young Autumns offer of half the winnings, told her to go spend it with Sprite, and made her way back to the alpha den, content.
Autumn and Sprite had had a great time spending, dressing up and laughing. They were laying in the sun when their sitter and mentor Feroux came bounding over to them "Oh my girls!" She smiled "i'm so proud! They want you to start training on real hunts! I knew i could do it!" That was the problem with Feroux. She was self centred, and named every achievement to herself, although the girls supposed there was some truth to it. They got up excited and rushed to meet the hunting party with Feroux. They had appointed Autumn to stalking, and Sprite to chasing. The girls took position, and nose firmly to the ground Autumn began to track.
Autumn loved her training and she loved Villmennene. She was really growing now. Villmennene was a rich pack and she was getting big and solid. Life was idyllic. Her joy was broken when she got back from a hunt and found the Alpha had died.
There was a celebration for the ages to celebrate Autumn Valkyries long life. Young Autumn was amazed at what the pack could do. The herbalist, Foryst, had mastered fire, and was cooking peccary. Autumn closed her eyes as she tasted it, it was divine. She smiled as she saw Sprite dancing around the packs stud. It was a fine event. She knew Autumn Valkyrie would be proud. The funeral pyre was stacked high with gifts and sacrifices to wish the deceased well on her journey. Autumn was shaken from gazing at the pyre by Marine, the young male she had first met on the outskirts of the packs territory. He had a beautiful little crown with him.
" I need you to come now" he said flatly.
Marine and Autumn walked to a quieter spot and sat down. Marine passed the crown to Autumn. He sighed. "I'm alpha now, and i have a duty to give you this. She wanted you to have it. It was the first crown she wore, a Valkyrie heirloom. Its because you are Autumn too. Do NOT lose it. Its important" a tear escaped Autumns eye, and Marine got up and left. She was flattered. As she watched him walk away, she put it on, but felt something odd-attraction to him. She was coming into her first heat. The pup was no longer a pup.
The next day, Autumn said her emotional goodbyes to the pack, thanking them all, especially Feroux and Sprite. She had spent her entire adolescence there, and the experience had shaped the wolf she was now. She was only a yearling though, and there was more to be seen. With a deep breath, she began to run across the swamp, which she was used to now. Her paws no longer slipped, but carried her reliably. It was time for an adventure!

Lore:
Autumn was scented by the Night Keeper Packs main hunting party, and they caught her completely unaware. Growls emanated around her, coming from nowhere but everywhere. She glanced rapidly around, trying to find the source but the once light and peaceful forest now somehow looked dark, and scary. She tucked in her tail with fright and took an unknowing step back. The growling stopped. Autumn's heart was pounding against her chest and she swivelled her ears, trying to locate any strange source of noise, but all she could hear now was the snuffling of small critters and the faint tweet of birds.
All of a sudden her paws were knocked from underneath her and she went tumbling forward, feeling a heavy weight on her. Claws slashed her skin and she yelped with pain, starting to lash out with her own sharp claws. She was still young and inexperienced, landing blows that mostly glanced off in the wrong directing. She landed a heavy slash on the enemy and they let out a shrill cry before Autumn felt teeth dig into her shoulder. "Stop!" She cried, kicking at the figure with her back paws. Luck was somehow still on her side and the weight was shoved off of her and a slight 'oof' could be heard as the attackers air was knocked out of them. Autumn scrambled to her feet and a sharp pain shot through her front leg and her side.
Autumn finally got a look at her attacker. It was a silver wolf, and dark red blood matted their fur scarcely. Autumn growled, menacingly stepping forward, her teeth bared, but another figure entered her view. The wolf that had just attacked Autumn let out a laugh that sent shivers down her spine, slowly getting to their feet and taking a step forward.
"You intrude on our land. Leave or die."
The wolf bared their fangs, obviously wounded but still feisty. The other wolf seemed to have just been watching but now they stepped forward.
"Silver. We do not need violence nor threats. Do you think the alpha will condone this?"
Silver stopped snarling and stared at the other wolf. "But this is a trespasser!"
"Indeed. Put your claws away and apologise."
Silver pressed her ears against her head and turned on the other wolf, baring her teeth with anger. "I will not listen to you Grey. This trespasser does not deserve an apology, and doesn't deserve mercy either."
Grey frowned and stepped forward until he was nose to nose with Silver. He snarled threateningly. "Know your place Silver." He spat, before barking at her. "Apologise!"
Silver glared at Grey, angling her ears back before reluctantly turning to Autumn and muttering an apology, turning back to Grey, snarling: "Deal with them yourself." And then bounding into the bushes, promptly disappearing into the foliage.
The wolf known as Grey let out a huff. "Lets get you to the herbalist." He stood next to Autumn, their fur touching as he guided her back to their main pack. "I'm dreadfully sorry about Silver. We're a very small pack, and our alpha has yet to solidify her dominance. Most of us already look up to her but Silver is not yet used to pack life."
For some strange reason Autumn's heart fluttered at his apology and she just couldn't feel any sort of anger at him, only Silver. "It's.. It's fine!" She answered, moving her paws a bit closer to him so their sides were pressed together. Grey looked at Autumn and flashed her a smile, making Autumn's heart explode. They walked the rest of the way in comfortable silence, despite being complete and utter strangers.
Grey led Autumn back to their main dens, only to find Silver already talking to the Alpha Shadow about her and how they shouldn't take her in and she deserves to be chased off.
Grey quickly bounded forward, barking an objection. "She's just passing through! It's no big deal." Silver growled quietly, but ignored Grey's words, her eyes pinned on the alpha.
Shadow looked between the two and sighed. "She can stay. Silver, it's not a big deal."
Silver let out a loud bark of anger and stormed out of the area, needing some time to let off some steam. Grey returned to Autumn and smiled. "Would you like a tour?"
Autumn nodded, smiling. The rest of the day Grey showed Autumn around the den, also introducing her to other pack members.
After a few days like this Autumn's heat was starting to fade, but she wanted to make the most of her new experience. She was pretty close with Grey... No! How could she think that? He wouldn't say yes, she was just a traveller! Although Autumn's heat was ending her attraction to Grey hadn't wavered. She decided what's the worst that could happen? She was a traveller, so if he said no she'd just move on. And if he said yes... That would be the ideal situation.
Oh, what was she doing just standing around? Grey was resting after going on his daily hunts! Now is the perfect time. With a smile on her muzzle she approached Grey. Steeling her nerves she just went for it and asked him. There was a slight pause in the air and Grey's face was blank before a smile from ear to ear was on his face. "I thought you'd never ask! I smelt your heat when I first scented you, but I didn't want things to get awkward."
Long story short Autumn was now bearing Grey's pups. The whole pack--minus Silver--Congratulated Autumn.
Time passed and finally Autumn gave birth to her pups. The pack--again--Congratulated her and the packs herbalist, Patet, confirmed the pups were healthy. Autumn spent the rest of her time in the pack pupsitting her pups and bonding with everyone in the pack.
But sadly all good things must come to an end and Autumn felt the call of the wild. Her pups were weaned and the clan was bustling and healthy. She informed the leader.
As a sending off party there was a feast and Autumn successfully stuffed herself. Then she set off, being guided to the edge of the territory by Grey. They nuzzled into each other and Grey licked behind Autumn's ear. "I'll miss you Autumn..."
She felt the same. "Me too grey but I must move on... I may even come back." Autumn smiled softly before turning and bounding into the undergrowth. It was time for another adventure!
