Blue-Jay pads forward towards the excited hunting party. There is a bunch of younger wolves joining the hunt. The more experienced hunters are taking them out to show them the ropes. BlueJay watches from a distance as the wolves greet each other, the younger ones showing more excitement than the older ones. After a moment BlueJay joins the group and settles beside a younger wolf, Shepherd, he nods and lowers his head in greeting before turning to listen to the Stalkers. In the pack BlueJay resides in the stalkers usually are the head hunters, sometimes it's the chasers, usually though the stalkers take the lead since they decide which trails the party follows. Blue jay listens intently as they head out and gives pointers to the younger members as they go. After they bring down a young bull elk she sits back and watches the younger wolves celebrate their first successful hunt. She smiles as she watches them finding peace in the fact that once she departs from the mortal world her pack mates will still thrive.
It's a week after the new wolves begun hunting that Jay's daughter BlueWing began joining them. BlueJay looks at her daughter with both pride and sadness as she knows she's getting older know and probably won't be around long enough to see BlueWing become an adult. For now though she looks on with pride and joy every time her daughter achieves even the smallest things.
