Lore: Joy left her pack with an overflowing holiday spirit. She was armed with the knowledge of her pack Christmas traditions and a determination to spread the joy of the holidays to as many packs as possible before she had to return home for Christmas. Lore: Joy's wander lead her to the Vadon Village, a rather average size pack with a newly named pack alpha. She was found by a hunting team, led by the kind-hearted Eero, who warmly led her to the pack's camp. Her first encounter with the pack alpha, Malachi, had been lukewarm at best but as she made friends with the hunters, she learned not to take the reaction to heart as she learned of the death of Malachi's father, Akira, even though she was a little annoyed by such a reaction to say the least. She joined in on a hunt or two, learning quite a bit from Eero and the lead hunting team's chaser, Gael, even if the older she-wolf was a little bit of a know-it-all. Joy found that the festive nature of the pack wasn't all that strong this time around, given how the Pack Alpha and many of the pack were grieving but the pack was close-knit and genuinely cared for one another. Soon enough, Joy found her need to wander again for another adventure. After receiving a kind gift from Eero in the form of a nicely made crown, she set off for another pack.

Lore: Joy was brought to see the leader of the Midnight Crew pack, Spades Slick, after being found wandering on pack territory. Having a soft spot for a wolf not much younger than his last litter, he allowed her to stay for a while. She was given a good meal and a spot to stay in the apprentice den with other wolves around her age, who were more than happy to show her and include her in the pack's holiday traditions, especially an apprentice named Breeze. Near the very end of her visit, the leader passed, and his daughter and chosen heir, Draconian Slayer, took over. Before Joy left to continue her holiday travels, the new pack leader gave her a meal for the road, and a piece of lunar jewelry, something common among higher ranking wolves in the pack, including the leader's family; a symbol that she'd always be welcomed back if she needed a place to stay in her travels.
