Nobody knows how he died, but Crownstar notes that a few wolves were acting suspicious a while before he died. One of her suspects could be Winston, Whippetsnarl or Rockfall, but she can't tell for sure.

When he was found, a strong fox scent had been masked over him, presumably to hide the real perpetrator's scent. The wound that killed him had been on his neck, where his throat had been ripped away. He definitely suffered in his last moments and wouldnt have been able to snitch on his killer. This wolf must've been smart.

He was found dead near the pack camp by a river.
