aiyana, son of
vala.
prior to his mother, vala, becoming mates with sirius, vala became smitten with neighboring pack alpha, Lonan, who sired vala's first litter. It was due to this pregnancy that vala's sister, wren, was able to rise to the leadership position in lichen valley pack despite the overwhelming majority of the pack favoring vala as the true heir to audric and aiyana's dynasty. By the time pyre and his siblings were born, the pack had already fallen into a state of complacency, content with wren as a leader despite her openly-hostile and fierce leadership - one that acted in stark contrast to the late audric and aiyana's pacifist, regulated one.
pyre, having felt a sense of guilt for inadvertently causing his mother's current rank, was a quiet and calculated pup, traits that one could only assume came from his father considering his mother's warm heart and gregariousness. At a young age he was noted as quite intelligent, with speed and agility that lent him well as an assailant and hunter. Though initially feeling a sense of dread over his own existence and the consequences of his mother's pregnancy, pyre slowly grew out of such mindset by the time he was an adolescent. Instead, however, that guilt turned into resentment, and that quiet pup suddenly became a loudly outspoken advocate for his mother and how his aunt's blood-thirsty leadership threatened lichen valley pack as a whole. Though he garnered support from many of the pack's denizens, those who were wise knew to keep their support under wraps lest they feel the wrath of Wren herself. Pyre, however, managed to avoid Wren's ferocity purely due to nepotism, something Pyre continues to take advantage of as he openly chastises and antagonizes the leader.
Amongst his silent followers, Pyre gained an ally in the form of Ovisia, a headstrong huntress who was welcomed into lichen valley upon adulthood. Though a newcomer, she too could see the corruption behind Wren's eyes, and, having nothing to lose, joined Pyre in his open antagonization towards her. The two would later become fond of one another, sealing their relationship with their first litter of pups.
