Biography
If youve got a problem with how the pack is being run, shes not the wolf you wanna talk to.
Being the only surviving daughter of the leader of their pack Otaktay learned her responsibility young. She still remains close with her father, Thorn, though the relationship she has with her mother is strained, and the two rarely interact.
Otaktay knew she would never be the leader but that never bothered her, she knew she could fulfill other responsibilities the pack had.
Like her father, she dedicates herself almost too much to her work, and therefore her relationships tend to suffer. Her only close friend in the pack is Saga, and the two regard each other as sisters. Saga understands Otaktay better than anyone and she does her best to relieve some of the stress Otaktay feels, usually by taking her on long walks or watching the sunset together.
All her life Otaktay dreamed of being a chaser, she was even named with the intention of that becoming her role in the pack. However to the surprise of everyone, even Thorn and Saga, on her first name day she announced she would be continuing as a pupsitter. While Saga would continue as a hunter.
She made this decision because she saw the potential for the pack to grow as they expanded, and Dakota and Catori were already overrun with the pups they had and now there were even more on the way. She saw a weakness in their pack and sacrificed her dream for it.
She struggles with this decision as she now has to spend a lot of time with her estranged mother. Though she naively hopes this might mend their broken bond. Though things only get worse when she decides to name her daughter after her deceased sister and Catori becomes engaged. Blaming Urika's death on Otaktay.
Eventually, things cool down, thanks mainly to Waverly, the herbalist, who begins providing Catori with some stress-relieving herbs. Though the relationship between mother and daughter never improves as Otaktay would have hoped.
She struggles watching Saga live out her life as a huntress, growing closer to the hunters and further away from her. She doesn't blame Saga but it still pangs her heart never the less.
