Before he could apologize, a larger pup ran over snarling. "Watch where you're going!" The young pup snapped, grabbing the smaller blind pup by the scruff and walking off. He just stood there, stunned for a moment when he heard a wolf chuckling at his expense. He looked over to see a light pelted piebald approaching him. "Pups, am I right?" She shook her head with a chuckle. "Don't take it personally, Moose is very protective over Plutus." She said before looking at him. "You must be the new traveler, I'm Peach." She introduced herself. During his stay, Key Lime spent most of his time helping Peach and the other pupsitters with the puppies. The puppies definitely imprinted on him throughout his stay. She trotted through the riparian woodland, moonlight glistening on her fur like a lantern. The rush of the rivers overflowed in her ears, the smell of wet pine filled her keen nose. All of a sudden she felt a change, then caught the scent of a wolf. Key felt insecurity shiver up her spine and her hair stood on end. Unexpectedly, a swift shadow left upon her and was biting Key wildly. It was a small wolf. "I got it! A kararain ghost!" "Hey! Stop Tango! That's not a ghost!" Their were two wolves. Key thrashed violently, trying to rid the wolf biting at her neck. She smelled blood in the air and knew it was her. She fought the darkness in her foggy brain but it was no use, she spilled over and blacked out. She heard voices but couldn't interpret them. Abruptly, she started to wake up. Even though she wasn't fully awake, the last thing she remembered was danger. So she sprang forward, couldn't keep her feet, and stumbled to the ground. "Get the alpha!" Key heard a wolf command. She opened her eyes and although weak, growled at the first wolf. "Hey, your ok." The wolf said. "Im Beserk, this here is Wattana," She said pointing her nose to another wolf. "She was there when Tango attacked you.'' "Why did he attack me?" Key Lime Pie said, still laying on the ground. "He thought you were a kararain ghost." Wattana spoke. "He "protects" the pack from them every night, even though they're not real." She said with a chuckle. A big, black, scar ridden wolf walked in and changed the atmosphere. "You must be Key Lime Pie." He said with authority. "How did you know me?'' Key asked. "An alpha Im acquainted with had you in his pack earlier, he saw you and recognized your fur. I'm Radar, alpha of Crimson Trail pack, stay for awhile, at least till you get better. Tango will never bother you again." All the wolves gave him a look but said nothing. Key stayed till she got better, then after, she said her goodbyes and went off to a new pack. Everything here looked the same, until she heard a noise. Key whipped around and scanned the bushes but didn't see anything. Another crack. This time when Key turned around a wolf is standing in front of her, very close to her face. She jumps back and the wolf snorts and rolls over laughing. "Your face!" The young wolf exclaims. Key nervously laughs and asks "Whats your name?". The young wolf looks at her. "My name?" The young wolf says. "Y-yeah your name." Key responds. "I don't have one yet." the wolf says. Key is surprised. "No name?" Key asks curiously. "Yeah. We earn our names. The alpha is having trouble with naming us, she has been going through a lot and just cant make one up." The young wolf smiles. "Well maybe my alpha can help! How about your alpha PM's other alphas with a link to an unnamed wolf, you will have all different types of names!" Key suggests and the young wolf wags her tail. "Come on! My alpha will love you!" The young wolf says. Key and the young wolf travels to the barely thriving pack in need of help, the alpha has so many wolves coming with problems, she is overwhelmed! Key helps out wherever she can, earning trust and becoming the favorite of the pack. Soon Firefly approaches her. "Hey. You have really been helping around here, so I thought hard about how to reward all of your work and I have decided. There will be an annoucment tonight, to all of wolvden!" Firefly says and trots away. Later tonight all the wolves in the Cakina pack, and some others, are standing under the rock when Firefly stands above them. "Thank you to all that came. I have called you here to announce the new position of Key Lime. Key has been promoted to BETA of the pack!" Firefly exclaims. Everyone howls and cheers. Key lime is clearly shocked but she smiles and howls beside Firefly. When Key Lime left, no other wolf took her position. Jay welcomed him into the pack dens to rest from his travels for as long as he needed and that Jay and his mate, TJ Light, will take care of him during his stay. Key Lime Pie decided to care for some puppies for a while, he had a very good bod with a pup named Yeena, she was always close to him.
