Biography
Keeping a secret isn't worth it if it means you don't get what you want. At least that's what Mithran believed when he made a hard choice after joining Beastenguard. The pack was newly formed; just two mated pairs, two puppies on their way, and now Mithran. However, the father of the newborn pups had a dark secret; he enjoyed the suffering of other animals. Mithran caught him one day harming a helpless squirrel. The wolf begged Mithran to keep quiet, and Mithran agreed; so long as he gave him part of his portion at meal times. The wolf clearly didn't like this arrangement, as he already had a pregnant mate, and soon would have mouths to feed. However, he didn't have a choice, so he agreed. Everything was going well until the wolf started to talk about becoming the pack's breeding male. With only three males in the pack, with one of them being Coyle (who was too busy to breed and even if he did, it would only be with Daewn), Mithran grew jealous. This wolf already had a mate, he didn't need more females! Mithran was a good wolf and was much bigger, stronger, and more beautiful than this sadist! So, he did what he felt he had to do; he snitched to Daewn and Coyle. Outranged, the alpha pair banished the sick-minded wolf from the pack. The newfound mother became incredibly depressed. Mithran stepped into the fatherly role to care for the two new pups: female fraternal twins. Still, nothing could quell the anger that she felt. Mithran offered to become a doctor to care for her and the pups, and she gave her permission. As both the sole breeding male and herbalist of the pack, Mithran felt he was now the most important wolf in Beastenguard. Even more than Daewn. Still, try as he might, he couldn't stop the poor mother from delving into insanity. Daewn and Coyle decided that it would be best to exile the mother as soon as her puppies were weaned, so as to give the girls a fighting chance at a normal life. Growing distant from the girls that he once saw his own, Mithran wasted no time moving on. His first two conquests were Winnigo and Prionace Glauca. However, no matter how many kids he had he never felt complete. When Daewn made the decision to rehome the girls he barely even blinked. All Mithran cares about now is feeling good and finding new medicines to ensure he always remains important. Perhaps Herbert can one day save him from himself.
Except, Herbert can't. Daewn demanded that Mithran step down from his role of practitioner because of how he abused the role. Mithran was stumped. He thought Siphon was actually interested in him, that she was just another dumb and pretty female. She went behind his back and stole his career! Mithran wasn't going to be the most important wolf in the pack anymore. Something had to change, and he was going to do whatever it took to make that happen. He would become a pupsitter and pretend to accept the loss gracefully, and when it was time he would train the next generation, his heirs, to take back what was rightfully his. If Daewn wasn't going to have his back then maybe she wasn't a good leader, and maybe, just maybe, that means he should take over the pack for himself. For the good of everyone, of course.
At least, so he thought. The pups detested him and refused to see him as a father figure instead of their own dads. He was a basic, middle-aged wolf who couldn't relate to the kids. However, Mithran realized that a catalytic event was foreseen to happen in a month. The name Mithran meant "holy, light, godly." If he could find a way to bathe in the doom pools and soak up their power, he would be a new man with a new look and new abilities. He set out to become a hunter, a chaser who chased after his desires, who increased his skills. He joined the group Mythos and set his plan into motion. His demeanor changed from unfriendly to vulgar; he had lost the patience to play nice with the other wolves. He demanded what he wanted when he wanted it how he wanted it. He may not have been able to push his weight around Beastenguard, but that did nothing to hinder him from staking his claim among other rival wolf packs. Nothing was going to stop him from leaving his mark on Beastenguard, and the world.
Soon it would be time for his legacy to continue, as much as he despised the idea. He decided to make a secret club he dubbed "Chasing Tail." It would pass down the knowledge of how to impregnate a wolf no matter what, with the only cost being to become a monster. There would only be two members at once; a sage and a student. His only known son wanted nothing to do with him because of his mother, and his daughters were, well, girls! He needed to take someone on. He met Spookerson, a wolf with no pack or history. Mithran began to groom him to become his successor, and as the young wolf's charisma grew his appearance faded. Soon the young future stud was practically see-through, with ghostly eyes that peered straight into your very soul. He made his lair within a barren wasteland. It seems Mithran made a good job with his choice when Spookerson sired pups and one of them had fur the color of the darkest of nights! As much as Mithran hated the idea of stepping down, he knew Beastenguard would be in good paws. He may have never achieved world domination, but with his new club he would ensure monstrosities in the body of wolves roamed the Earth, and he would very much enjoy watching chaos unfold from the afterlife.
Interaction Logs:
7/10/23 - Mithran seems to freeze for a moment before baring their teeth and grumpily walking off. Looks like it worked! His personality changed from unfriendly to vulgar.
7/11/23 - Mithran ignores you when you trot up to them with a friendly greeting. Rude!
7/22/23 - Mithran aims a crude joke your way, loud enough for the entire pack to hear.
7/23/23 - Mithran is stretching and lifts their bum with their tail raised high right in your face as you walk by. Subtle!
8/21/23 - Mithran growls with excitement. They have merged with the cryptids! Mithran blinks in confusion as something unnerving and otherworldly happens to their eyes. He also met his daughter Roast link that he conceived with Java! He is happy to have an offspring of his in the pack.
10/10/23 - Mithran had a son named Alastor link! The boy looks just like him so he knows its his. However, the pup's mother Persephone won't allow Mithran near them due to both his vulgar nature and her bossy nature! While they got along before the pup, her motherly instincts have taken over to keep Mithran from turning her child into a soldier. Pity. The Valley Of The Forgotten pack are not to be trifled with. As much as he would like to steal away the child to raise in his image Mithran is too afraid of the mighty Reaper and Queen Valkyrie to dare such a feat.
2/14/24 - Scruff made a deal with the devil with Mithran, and today she had a daughter named Phlegethon! The puppy is incredibly violent even at this young age, though she seems somewhat sweet and protective of her littermates.
3/7/24 - Roast left the pack to join their allies in Legionnaire's Legacy! Mithran is proud of his daughter for going out and securing alliances.
6/28/24 - Mithran sold out all of his stud slots, what a lady killer!
7/3/24 - Mithran sold out all of his stud slots a second week in a row, he is sure to leave quite the legacy behind!
7/21/24 - Mithran sold out all of his stud slots a third week in a row; he'll go down in history!
Stud Story:
The heat is so blistering you can barely stand it. You came here, to a distant volcano surrounded by a burnt wasteland, where you heard a mystical entity named Mithran resides. Rumor has it that he used to be an ordinary wolf before his pride got the best of him. Now, when the days are at their hottest, he always returns home to the heart of the mountain. Some say the volcano swallowed him whole, hated what it tasted, and spat him back out in the form of an inferno. Others remark that he had to have merged with a great, dying beast and taken its place. Whatever happened, he had the ability to produce powerful pregnancies. A little embryo-ember is all you seek. Your pack needed a hero. Your child could fight fire with fire and secure a safe home for your family. Mithran could provide the seed that would grant your pup a scorching soul that would protect them. What this visit would cost you no one knew, but you had to try. Ignoring the stinging sensation of the molten ground, you head deeper into the cavern. Fire flickers everywhere, and you're careful not to let any of the sparks set your fur ablaze. This was your chance to stake your claim in the pack. As the mother of the unborn alpha you would be revered, respected, and rivaled by no one.
"It's not easy for an underdog to remain unchallenged" a surly voice drawls from the darkness.
You jump in surprise, and curse to yourself as the pain of your paws scraping the ground sends white-hot pain through your limbs. The smoke is thicker here, and you do your best not to wheeze. Weakness wasn't a trait you wanted to portray in front of a monster such as Mithran.
"Can you do what was promised? Can you give me a child?"
A scowling face appears from the dark. You withhold a whimper. "Merely a child? You can't tell me you don't want something more from me? As dim as you seem you couldn't possibly have traveled all this way for something any stud could give you." You can see him stepping further into the light and you quickly cast your gaze down.
"No," you correct, gulping in the thick air as you try to rectify the situation; "the one that will save my pack." Silence resounded in the cavern, and you took that as a signal to continue. "Our alphas have always been weak. They never did what needed to be done. Our alpha has about a year or so left in him. Everyone is fighting for their pup to be the heirβ¦"
"But?"
"I can produce an heir that could save our family. I'll do what needs to be done." You can't help but look up. His eyes glow with unholy light that pierces into your very soul. His gemstone antlers of yellow jasper and fire opal cast shimmering reflections on the cavern wall; priceless prongs that catch the light of the lava behind him. The smoke is growing thicker with every step he takes towards you, and you can no longer keep the coughs inside of you. The wretched sound of your inflamed lungs heaving, straining to glean one clean breath from the air around you, almost muffles his next words.
"And what are you willing to do for it?" It takes everything in you to get a single word out, a sole plea for pity to be taken, for a bargain with the devil to be made.
"Anything."
