Her pack and family were killed off when she was young, the only reason she survived was that she was told to run and hide by her parents as they fought an invading wolf pack. Redzenious came across her when he was still a puppy and looked after her as they traveled looking for a new home, but never stayed long because he would constantly be fighting with others around him. Kiva stays with him out of loyalty and love.
With her helpful personality she was easily placed into the herbalist category of the pack; also seeing as she was the only one besides Redzenious who could talk to others without losing fur. They wouldn't attack her being their King's main mate. She has switched between being a scout first then moved to learn the healing way from Herb the Healing Bear when her longtime mate fell ill. Her skills in learning the herbs have grown quickly now she only waits to see how to create her own salves and find her familiar.
She has found her new familiar; a Cliff Swallowtail Butterfly. She has come across many of them in her herb gardens and realized that they were her spirit guide. They will live in the winter until they are actually killed, then they stay around as spirit butterflies ever guiding her as she finds another, soon in death she'll be taken by a cloud of Cliff Swallowtail Butterflies~ they whisper in the wind and sparkle in the night.
Shocked that Redzenious had chosen a mate (she honestly thought that he wouldn't claim a mate but just mate with all of them) and hurt she threw herself into her work. She spent many hours researching healing recipes then going out looking for the herbs never wanting to be at the den for too long, which made things hard for the younger ones who depended on her.
