(Born on Nov 21, 2022) With Snowing Sky and Shining Star as him and his sister's parents, he lived a happy and full life as a pup. But, halfway through their training, Redwood Shade and his sister, Gray Tree received news of their father's disappearance (Dec 13 2022). They became so terribly sad and worried that they could not return to their training. When Mountain's Summit came back with the news of the whisp and why Shining Star had left, him and his sister became extremely worried. What if he got in trouble on his way to his friends, or worse yet, died. However, they knew they had to continue with their lives. Redwood Shade decided to continue his training to be a scout and to follow any scent or hint that Shining Star was still alive. Finally, one day, he as old enough to get his pack name. Ice Runner looked suspicious of him as he came into the clearing surrounded by trees. He did his test and perfected it, then stood in front of Ice Runner to get his name. His new name was… Mirrored Wolf? Not Quick Paws or Bear Biter, but Mirrored wolf? Why?
One night he awoke to a green pup standing in front of him. It blinked at him, but did not speak. He tried to ask what its name was, but no sound came from his jaws. The pup tilted its head to the entrance, clearly wanting him to follow. He followed the pup outside and, in the light of the setting sun, Mirrored Wolf could see that the pup was made of stone. How was it alive? The pup walked into the forest, not waiting for him to follow. With a glance back at the pack clearing, Mirrored Wolf walked into the forest with the pup. He walked for a while. The forest darkened as the moon rose higher in the sky. His old bones ached. He took a moment to sit down, but the pup pushed him back up. He continued to follow, growing more and more weary the longer he walked. As he stared at the ground, it seemed to crumble beneath him. He took a step back, shocked, before looking up and finding that the forest was crumbling to stardust. There was a wolf's length of darkness where the dust of the ground and trees became small stars. Beyond this, there was a field that glowed like the northern lights. The pup continued walking, stepping onto the darkness, but not falling into what seemed to be an empty abyss. It turned and looked at him. It was waiting. Mirrored Wolf stepped forward cautiously before finding that his paws did not slip through the ground that was falling away. He walked forward, feeling the aches and pains from his old age wither away. He felt lighter, younger. He stepped onto the glowing green-blue grass. It was the softer grass he had ever felt. His worries seemed to melt away. He felt freer, but then he heard it. A mournful howl. He turned and found his sister, Mossy Rock (formerly known as Gray Tree) gazing sadly at something on the other side of the darkness. He narrowed his eyes, trying to see what it was. It seemed like a wolf had collapsed. Brown fur… and a small, mossy pup standing frozen beside them. Wait, was that…? It was him. His dead body. He wanted to comfort his sister. It broke his heart to see her dismay. But he knew he could not turn back now. All he could do was keep going. And wait for her to join him. "I'll see you soon." he whispered to himself before turning and continuing his walk into the starry landscape.
