Biography
Son of Stag and Thunder.
Stain is well aware of his family's legacy: between Thunder's harsh attitude and the whispers of his older brother Slate's betrayal, it's hard not to. As a pup, he never quite understood such things, instead choosing to play with the pups his age.
It wasn't until his adolescence his energy and impulsive nature began to catch the attention of his peers. The young wolf wanted nothing more than to be a Scout: he considered following his parents, but in the end his need to see new places won out.
It was around this time he began to truly understand what Slate had done. Part of him considered leaving: his siblings had decided to do so once they were old enough. But... Stain had friends here. He had especially grown close to his pup-hood friend, Robin. Perhaps he was too loyal to the Pack, or perhaps he felt he had something to prove... Maybe, part of it was a crush. But, the male decided to stay, and, maybe clear his family's name in the process.
An energetic wolf, he felt it only natural to take up the role of Scout.
Shortly after passing his Trial, he and Robin became mates.
Seasons passed, and the Pack faced hardships one after the other. Stain mostly ignored the political drama- it was all the same to him.
Deaths, however, were hard to ignore. The death of their lead Scout, Choco, came as no surprise, although he did comfort Robin at the loss of her father. Stone's death, was much the same - the healer had been old, and had thankfully trained a replacement before his passing. The sudden attack that lead to Hawk, Stag, and Thunder's deaths, however, was a shocking blow to the whole Pack, Stain especially.
He wasn't alone in losing family. His own mate, Robin, had lost her parent, leaving the Pack without a second-in-command. A replacement was quickly found, but...
Maybe Stain should have paid attention to the politics, as many seemed unhappy with Felix being chosen.
Maybe it was how many wolves had died so quickly, or how fast it felt they were supposed to move on. Maybe it was Felix being the mate of one of River's pups, or the fact River herself had recently chosen one of her own pups to replace her after she died. But, many were unhappy with this new replacement, and began splitting the Pack, or out-right leaving.
and now, with wolves leaving for so many different reasons, the Pack was in turmoil.
As if the loss of both his parents wasn't enough, both his aunts, Rose and Acorn, both decided to leave during this time. The two had been the young male's support system for as long as he could remember - only they seemed to understand the "curse" of being related to Thunder. And now, it seemed there was nothing keeping them here.
Stain understood their sentiment. He and Robin only stayed themselves to try and honor their families- wolves who were known as Founders, had been admired by the Pack as the backbone of it, despite the stigma. It felt... Wrong, to leave what had been worked so hard to gain. Hopefully, with pups on the way, they can finally fix something long broken.
