Amberfur

1st apprentice: Ghostpaw

Back story:

Waking up in the moonlight, he got up and steretched his paws. He growled to himself lightly and padded off away from the Twoleg nests. He never liked being so close to them. He could easily be snatched by one and never see the light again. Thankfully they should all be asleep now or at least most of them. Walking carefully He made his way over a cross in the thunderpath in front of him. He didn't encounter any Twoleg cars and safely made it across. Walking into the open grasslands he rose his head to take in all the scents. He walked forward following the scent of a jack rabbit. He spotted a strange smelling wolf. It smelled like the grasslands itself. Unfortunately he was upwind of this new wolf. He started to back into some tall grass but the grasslands wolf had scented him. There was no way he could run away now and no way he could win a fight. The wolf's muscles rippled as he stalked towards him. The wolf snarled and growled, lunging into the shrubbery and grabbing him by the scruff of his neck. He got dragged out of the bushes into the open. The wolf dropped him there and glared down at him. " Who are you to walk on the territory of ShadowClan? " "I am a wolf who lives alone and near the village where the Twolegs live. I come here during night to hunt for there is nothing during the day." He lowered his gase and bowed low showing respect. The grasslands wolf's expression softened. " You poor wolf!" The wolf exclaimed. "How could any creature live like that." He paused for a second then continued. " I am Shadowstar, leader of ShadowClan. The clan will take you in and you will become a fine warrior." Shadowstar looks deep into his eyes. " If you will except the offer of course." His eyes widened. " Yes sir! I would love to join ShadowClan and serve you!" He exclaimed. Shadowstar turned and started walking towards a large thicket of bramble and many thorns. They passed through the barrier wich was in a circle shape. His fur got caught on some thorns and Shadowstar had to help him out. Many wolves peered out from little burrows and mounds the must have dug as homes. He nervously walked in beside Shadowstar. Shadowstar nodded to each wolf and greeted each of them by name. Each one had a slightly different scent but all shared the same smell of grasslands. Shadowstar stopped near the base of a small boulder wich was about as tall as a young wolf. Shadowstar hopped on top of it and all wolves almost immediatly gathered around him. " All wolves gather here please. While I was out exploring I found a young wolf with lots of talent. He will become a great warrior for the clan. He will be given his warrior name now." Shadowstar turns towards him. " Young wolf. You were not born of the Clan and therefore do not know of the mighty Starclan or the warrior code. In time you will learn. As the leader of ShadowClan I reward you with your warrior name. From now on you will be known as Amberfur! You will work hard I know. And will achieve great things. Please work with your fellow clanmates and make ShadowClan the greatest clan! Meeting is now dismissed. Amberfur, you must defend the Clan all night tonight. You mustn't sleep or talk all tonight. We call this a vigil. Before you start, grab something to eat. Good luck."
