He looked up at the sky and his deep-throated gorwl turned into a hateful growl. A challenge to the gods, if there were any left. But as always, no reply. The gods had abandoned their people long ago. So the anger and frustration within him grew, turned into something dark, something corrupting. If the gods turned their back on him, then he would turn his back on them. He felt how he changed, his soul and his very essence become something else. And he knew, he was no longer a wolf. He turned to his pack, wounded, beaten and desperate. Under his gaze some of them began to change as well, those who felt the same way he did. The rest turned against them, but were too afraid to fight them. He watched them flee into the forest, into all directions, and he knew that soon they'd be back with other wolves to bring down this new breed and wipe them from the face of the earth before they even had a chance to set foot in it. There weren't enough of them yet to fight back. Not yet, but one day. Until then, they'd have to assume the shape of wolves, stealing the looks of others, until they were ready to show themselves and wipe out the pitiful creatures still following the laws of their cruel and careless creators. That night, he announced himself the king of his own breed. That night, they began calling him Skinwalker. Here's some lore he has gotten from stud requests: "Pandora stepped toward Skinwalker's den, with their head held high. They were afraid, but would never let it show. Others feared her too. Perhaps he'd be the only one who understood..." by
Proxy"Wayward..." Carry whispered. Her heart ached as she gazed upon the wolf before her. Part of her knew it was too good to be true. But the rest didn't care. She just wanted to see him one more time...
ProxyWhen Cazador first saw the wolf in the distance, they knew something was wrong. They couldn't pinpoint what, though; each time they look at the figure it seems as if their very form is unstable, the edges of their figure constantly shifting almost imperceptibly. Caz lowers their head, their hackles raising as they slowly paw toward the figure. Every instinct in their is was telling them to scram, but they can't seem to stop themselves from approaching the strange wolf. They squint at the wolf as they get closer, their subtle fear turning to confusion as they tilt their head. Their tail sways anxiously behind them, their ears flickering constantly."Cepheus?" Caz asks, their eyes flickering nervously around them. "What are you doing all the way out here?" by
JohnShe already encountered beings seemingly out of this world, misplaced in this plane of existance, but the wolf in front of her was a very different kind of strange compared to her leader's mate lunar-infuzed Kerlen. Still she came closer, perhaps out of curiosity or perhaps because the danger made it even more different, than what she was used to living in her safe and calm pack. Even if it was just one day different from all the others and one conncetion that will last a few hours, it was worth it.by
