Criel

Criel was Tiphon's perfect puppet to use to further her and her father Fleetfoot's mad plans and ideals. Young, impressionable, and TERRIBLY lonely. While not her "mother's" (see Tiphon's about) first pick Tiphon was forced to pin all her hopes and dreams on the Criel as a puppy after her own refusal to wait until Criel's siblings were grown to begin their training led to her siblings dying. She began to gaslight and groom Criel right as she brought Criel home to the pack.

Criel ate up every ounce of affection Tiphon gave her like she was starving. She hung off her mother's every word and the pack even joked to Tiphon to be careful or else Criel might never leave the nest. They had no idea of Tiphon's sinister plans.

Criel wasn't exactly treated the best by the pack. Her third eye was the cause of much contention and strife, the elders seeing it as a curse or her as a harbinger of destruction. They even tried to kill her but thankfully her mother and the alpha intervened and fought for her right to live in the pack just like any other wolf. Things cooled down after the alpha throughly scolded the pack for their prejudice but Tiphon used the incident for the rest of her life to gaslight Criel into thinking she had nobody except her mother and that she should do whatever her mother wants to repay her.

In truth, Tiphon was disgusted by Criel and her third eye as much as the elders, but she NEEDED the pup to ensure her father's bloodline live on and his plans came to fruition. But halfway through Criel's adolescence, she realized that didn't mean she needed Criel. So, as soon as Criel was of age, Tiphon went to the son of her father's general. She knew he too was secretly loyal to her father's cause and informed him of her plans. While he knew the truth about the empires views on females and that Tiphon was a deluded wolf, her plan was a good one and she had the tools the empire's faction in the pack needed. So Tiphon quickly had her daughter mate with her new ally. She hoped her grand pups wouldn't inherit their mother's foolish and soft nature or her…ocular condition. After all, she needed to finally make a proper Emperor from their bloodline. Once the pups were born, Criel happily obeyed her mother and left all matters of raising them to her mate and Tiphon herself.
