Her View
"Oh dear!" Healer Stone backed away from Meraki, what could be wrong with her pups? She had already had a difficult time getting them. Healer Stone was in shock, so still and he started shaking his head furiously. "How could this happen.. What have you eaten?!" He screamed. "Nothing! What's wrong with my beautiful pups!..?.." Healer Stone ran foward and pulled a pup away from the others, and at that moment, Meraki saw it. It had fused legs and was barely able to crawl as much as the other pups, its cries echoing in the cave. She had bred a monster.. but something seemed so.. special about it, like it had a chance.. like it was just a pup. With all her strength, Meraki jumped up and growled at the Healer as she ran to grab her pup. The Healer jumped back, Meraki was strong for a Crafter. She quickly trotted back to her pups and put it furthest near the wall. "Meraki.. you know what that is.." The Healer had his head low. "It's a gift," She replied swiftly, lowering down to nurse her pups.
It was a wet and dark night, with the occasional splashes of light, filling the cave. It was thundering and raining, the worst it had ever been, the Alpha kept coming in, checking on her and the cubs which he had fathered. Meraki had been worried about his reaction but surprisingly, all he cared about was that the pups were ok, especially the 'mermaid' which he had called it. "I'm hungry, could you fetch me some food please?" Meraki spoke softly, afraid to wake her pups. Iris, the Alpha, hurried out of the cave, moving through the vines that cover the entrance. Once he came back, she would be gone. She knew what they planned to do. To kill her beautiful mermaid.
Meraki was running, as fast as she could. She carried her pup in her pouch which hung on her neck, fastened in her fur to her side. Her other pups would be well cared for by the pack. "Stop!" A voice said in the dark. She slid to a stop, then she saw a Pure white wolf infront of her. "What are you doing on Mistfall Land..?" He seemed Curious, a Scout, she thought, he must be. "Do you know anyone who can help me!.." She gasped. "Yes. What business do you serve here?" Meraki fell to the ground in exhaustion, "Please.." She couldn't finish her sentence, something was pulling her into a deep sleep. "Dam it." Is the last she heard from the wolf.
"Open up!" She heard voices.. she felt a soft bedding.. where was she? "Ahh!" She heard. "Very good, does it still hurt?" That sounded like an older wolf with a pup. "Hmm, no! Thank you Auntie Bronya!" Bronya.. she didn't recognise it. She shook a little. "Oh, your finally awake!.. Off you go Erebos!" Meraki twitched, she couldn't move. "Bye bye! Get better stranger!" That was the pup! "Don't try to move, you shouldn't be able to anyway until I get you something.." She said the last part quietly, like she was looking for something. "Ah! Here it is." She felt her jaw being opened then some disgusting thing being put in her mouth with some liquid, she then lifted her head quickly and spit it all out. She realised, the herb didn't come out... "Eww.." She complained. "Shhhh, let it work its job, you'll have full control in a bit." Bronya warned her. Meraki spoke "Why was I frozen.." She realised the weight off her back, "WHERE IS SHE..!" Bronya then spoke very quickly, she could barely make it out, "Lay down! She's in one of the puppy containers! She's safe!" She pushed Meraki down, then quickly made her way to the shelf made out of.. wood? How..? "Let me have her!" Meraki yelled. "Whats the commotion?" The White wolf was back.
"Ahh, this is Keth, the one who found you.. Luckily he did or you would've been eaten by the forest.." Bronya spoke, "Eaten by what?" She turned to Bronya, eyes wide in fright. "Ah, lets not talk about that Bronya.. This is our new pack member.." Keth, the white wolf talked, his voice sounded so soft, just like his fur when she awoke once on the travel back.. how did he hold her? He wasn't big enough.. "Wait a minute, new pack member?!" She realised. "Yes, the Leader, Pumpkin` Star has already introduced you to the pack although she wont be here for too long.." Keth said. "Keth! Stop thinking that! The Dragon Pack wont overtake. Could you get me some Yarrow?" Bronya talked now. "Sure." He simply replied, but he didn't move.. what? The herbs were.. FLOATING? Merika jumped and backed against the wall. "M-Magic?!" She cried. Bronya replied in response, "Oh, I forgot you were new, yes, most wolves of OURs are gifted. Keth is powerful to wield 2 abilities. Once your Ritual is done you may have one." "RITUAL?" She was breathing heavily, she shouldn't be here, what if it involved blood? Would they find out her curse? "Its alright! Keth, yarrow" Bronya then pointed her nose toward Merika. She needed to go, to run, to take her baby and leave!
Merika was terrified as Keth walked up to her. "Calm. Down." He dropped the herb infront her, "Chew some of it, the leaves will ease any pains you have. Your Sirenomelia is safe." Merika tilted her head a little and began to calm down, "Sirenome- what?" "Your deformed baby." Bronya replied simply, "There are names for these such mutations, yours is a Sirenomelia." She smiled. Merika was now trotting over to the 'Containers' and peeked through one, her baby, curled up in soft herbs. "See? Safe." Bronya was next to her. "Lets go, the Leader is already setting up your Ritual in the Area." Merika Stiffened. "Its to kill a deer alone, she gave you an easier one." Bronya finished, bringing her outside.
Everyone was here, and everyone was a LOT of people. Time passed as she made progress, completing the task, when she finally did, they brought her to a rock and the leader, Pumpkin` Star was wearing things which she then put on Merika. "Good job Merika, you have done well. I am happy to welcome you into our pack, as a Mystic." She heard a few worried gasps.. a mystic..
Then she lit up like the sun, blinding lots but no one was surprised. She closed her eyes as she felt a warm glow pass her. "How warming! A Gifted." Lots of wolves cheered! "Me, gifted?" she Asked Pumpkin`Star. "Yes, a double power! How powerful. You don't need to worry about that." She said. "Worry about what?" Merika replied. "What you were just worrying about.. me finding out that you have a curse, everyone is welcome here! You have 2 gifts because of that 'Curse' 2 Gifts, 2 carrys."
