Derived from Turkish ay meaning "moon" and taç meaning "crown" (of Persian origin).

Aytaç had started out as a naive, charming young leader, but through hardship he has become a cunning, responsible, Alpha.

Aytaç and his brother Koloda finished their training just before Awinita (Nayeli Skarn's sister) passed, they mourned their mentor's loss greatly while they continued their apprenticeship training.
Nayeli passed when Aytaç was only 8½ months old, causing him to rise to Leadership alongside the Herbalist, Menops, the older herbalist took on a lot of responsibility until Aytaç was old enough to lead on his own.
Nayeli's actions as the previous alpha caused the pack to split into two, with the descendants of skarn on one side and the many new wolves on the other. Listening to Dawa's concerns, Aytaç began the journey from the Glacier back to their ancestral home, the mountains.
His parents, now his loyal scouts, scouted the way ahead and the pack prepared to move, the pups were old enough, it being autumn. it would be dangerous to stay in the glacier during the cold months. The mountains, however, had been taken over by another tribe, and they fought a terrible war that saw both of Aytas' parents killed.
All seemed lost in the war, but Aytac used the diplomatic skills he learnt from his father to reason with the other tribe's leader; they were allowed to visit their pack's old cave whenever they wished, but were barred from ever hunting in the mountains again.
Aytac, with the help of Dawa and Somnia (leader of the new moon wolves), reunited the pack. but they had no home. they were in the prairie, and considered staying, but then Rainbow Trout was born. Its mother, link, was desperate to save her pup. Kaloda did what he could as an herbalist, but the pup's back legs were fused. Hualin one day suddenly went to Aytac, urging him to bring them south towards the sea; She was sure the survival of the pack and her pup rested there.
So Aytac went, alone, meeting with the Volukros in the dreamlands. They offered his pack protection, and told him where to find the siren, who can give Rainbow Trout life.
Aytac trained for many years with the volukros, earning scars and experience. he learned how to be more cunning, and there was less and less of the young leader he had started out as.
