Thelar always believed in being just and treating others fairly. For the most part, his family were like this, but they were very strict about it. Every wrongdoing had a punishment and every punishment was harsh but understood. If you understood the wrongdoing, you would not do it in the first place. However, the leaders of his pack eventually became more and more strict, but not to Thelar. Thelar, being close kin and having good bonds with everyone else, was for the most part safe from the ire of the pack leaders. His dear friend and distant cousin, Kazsin however, was another story. When Kaz was chased out of the pack, Thelar saw how much this extreme sense of order in his pack was toxic. He followed Kaz into exile.
