Biography
Birth Certificate
Birthdate: Feb 10 (Summer)
Mother: Grousewing
Father: Brownleaf
Birth Stats: 73STR 76SPD 73AGI 220WIS 219SMR = 661
Pupsitter: Ghostshadow
Gingerwhisker was a keen little girl who was clearly the cleverest pup in the nursery. She was a very quick study and learned every game, song, and story with shocking speed. She also figured out other wolves very quickly and learned how to manipulate other pups at a young age. She didn't do it maliciously or make other pups do anything dangerous, but when she wanted to be the "cougar" in a game of Tag or to get at a favorite toy, she knew how to make that happen. Her mother Grousewing noticed this and warned her never to use her talent to hurt anyone or do anything bad.
At the Academy, Ginger studied wisdom and smarts to prepare for being a stalker. Her cleverness served her well in her lessons and she earned top marks when it came to outsmarting prey and other pups. But when she tried to turn her wits against adults, she was always caught and scolded. Ghostshadow told her that all the adults knew her tricks and it was in her best interest to just be honest. Some extra food or an extra toy wasn't worth the trouble she got instead. Ginger took this advice to heart and channeled her abilities into stalking prey during a basic hunting lesson.
During her apprenticeship, Ginger seemed to soar through her training with ease. In no time she was tracking prey on her own under her mother's supervision. It looked like Alpha Grizzlyslash had chosen the best pup from Grouse's litter to keep in the pack, but secretly Ginger was getting overconfident. She felt like a superwolf as she stalked prey trails through the taiga forest with the hunting team and other apprentices on her tail. But her illusion was violently dispelled when she charged too close to a moose cow during a hunt. The moose would have kicked her head off if not for the swift actions of her fellow apprentice Cougarleap. In the aftermath, Ginger had to re-evaluate herself and her attitude. She figured out the true meaning of humility and she decided to follow Cougar and trust in her from then on.
On her first birthday, Ginger took time off from her tricks to celebrate her new phase of life with the other young wolves in the pack. The next day, they would all be out on the hunting trail as a team. But on that night, they were free to drink and laugh and carouse and Ginger did. Nobody was more elated that night than Ginger and her joy was infectious. Before long, all the youngsters were drunk and wild, annoying the heck out of the adults.
Now as an adult, Ginger saves all her tricks for the hunting trail and never tries to manipulate her packmates. She knows that as clever as she is, she's really nothing without her pack. It's being with them that makes life worth living and she wouldn't risk losing them for anything. Her teammates know that Ginger can figure out just about any problem and turn to her for help often. She's also the local gossip and nothing that happens in the taiga forest escapes her knowledge. Her eyes, ears, and nose bring her everything she needs to guide her hunting team to good prey and her whole pack to answers when needed.
