LORE TIME RAHHH
Emerald was a lone wolf his whole life, dispersing from his pack at the age of 3 after helping raise the litter of pups his parents had. Off to find a mate of his own, he traveled far away from his home territory, not ever wanting to fight with his own family over something like that, and knowing he wouldn't want to go back either.
he was on his own for a while before giving up the search for a mate, choosing to live a solo life. this was until he was around 5 and a half, running into a Charming wolf by the name of StonePaw. She convinced him to join her pack and he did so due to her friendly attitude, but he could also tell she needed help learning the ropes.

His favorite activity was spending downtime cleaning her pelt. their favorite spot is their den. they would sit on the overhang, cleaning each other's pelts while watching the puppies of the year play, planning their own litter in the future...one that would never happen.
even in the afterlife he likes to keep an eye on her. she would never be able to know he was still laying with her on the rock, even in the afterlife.
